It is an Audi 5 cylinder engine with 5 speed manual gearbox (listed as an automatic--ebay didn't give the "manual" option). HistoryIt was in California all of its life and was owned by a municipality with maintenance done regularly, as reflected in the Clean CARFAX. It was sold on auction and we bought it from a dealership in Mn. We had them install a new timing belt and waterpump before purchase. This is its first Midwest Winter but I have washed if frequently. It currently resides in Madison, WI and is being driven regularly. ConditionBurgundy Paint is ORIGINAL and glossy, with a good coat of wax currently. NO RUST. The Light Gray Interior is Excellent for it's age. Front are rear floor mats show wear (they are easily available). Tires 45%. Brakes Excellent. Everything works, all gauges and mechanicals. Clutch and Shifting are very smooth. No leaks. Normal Oil Usage (about 1/2 Qt in 3,000 miles). New timing belt and Waterpump. Front and rear A/C is nice and cold.There are several very minor issues: The latch on one jump seat needs to be replaced. The cylinders on the back hatch are getting tired and only hold the hatch up about 85% of full height. The front heater needs a new gasket--this will make the front heat hotter. There are a couple of dings. The floor mat in the front is worn significantly and rear mat shows some wear--see photos.No Smoke or Pet Smells. Very roomy, great traveling and vacation van, lots of fun. About EurovansThis is our second Eurovan. Our first one had about 170, 000 miles on it. It was mechanically excellent. Had no engine, transmission or clutch work done and did not need it. We traveled all over the US on vacations and traveling with the boys to soccer tournaments. We often towed a large popup camper and had 5 bikes on the roof of the van. We finally traded it (after many years), because the body was getting rusty from our Midwest winters. They are great, versatile vehicles. The jump seats(we have both) easily come out and the bench seat is removable as well. It has a table for eating or game playing while driving and has fluorescent lighting over the table.The Rear Seat folds into a Bed. It has front and rear heat and A/C. It has Good tow capacity (4,400 lbs with braked trailer). Again, this Eurovan does NOT currently have a hitch. Durable, Long-Distance Audi 5 cylinder engine has been proven over many years in Europe and the U.S. These can carry a lot of weight, but ride very smootly. New timing belt and water pump. It has a 5 speed manual transmission (the only year the 5 speed was available in the U.S. And in my opinion is much better than the automatic). Very roomy, great traveling and vacation van, lots of fun. ***PARTS ARE EASILY AVAILABLE QUICKLY AND THROUGH ANY MECHANIC***I would take this van anywhere on vacation and not worry.
