This is a nice running truck that drives pretty good and is super clean on the inside but is not perfect of course at this price. She's very clean in and out with a great running 5.3 V8 engine with no leaks and very good exhaust. The good is I have installed new rear shocks and ALL the brake rotors with pads too BUT it does need the ABS controller replaced/rebuilt (very, very common). It drives well but it will pull to the right WHEN the brake is applied due to a valve sticking inside the ABS pump (located under the cab on the driver's side), either due to the computer that controls the pump or in the pump unit that sits below it?? Either way, this is the problem, it's not getting the fluid to the left front brake caliper and YES, the caliper is good and moves freely, the line is also good....we are sure of this, our local chevy dealer has confirmed it. The rest of the 'bad' is the rust on the rockers and bed (see pics,bed DOES have a plastic liner). It also have a few other dents and scrapes too but does look horrible everywhere. I noticed the rear seal between the transfer case and tranny has a slight leak....very slight, I have not yet noticed any puddles on the garage floor, only the residue and grimmy mess around the seal. I have also noticed the same on the front driver's side differential seal which is also very common. The front diff. is a little "growly" when driving but I feel part of it is from the 285/65/16 tires too, it's not that bad and definately not keeping me from driving it. I did replace one seal in the rear driver's axle and replace the rear end fluid with new at that time (a couple weeks ago). She shifts really smooth/tight and all is like it should be mechanicly, OTHER than the ABS/BRAKE lights on from the abs module (the lights come and go but are on most of the time). The service engine soon light is also on and the code reads for the evap system, it does not affect the way it runs or drives in anyway. This might all sound bad but would be fairly easy for someone to do or drive it the way it is, as I have done. I just bought an avalanche repairable and I'm going to invest myself into this truck instead, this is why it's so CHEAP! All power options work great including the windows and CD player. The spare tire is sitting in the bed and I have a couple tools for it but the jack is missing from the rear of the seat. I do have a one keyless entry FOB and key (that sometimes is "sticky" in the ignition). Clean and Clear title ready!!
