Vehicle Detail
This is a 1973 Plymouth Barracuda that we are listing for a friend of ours. PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU INTEND TO FOLLOW THRU WITH THE SALE. IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 10 FEED BACK PLEASE CONTACT US PRIOR TO BIDDING. He is the original owner of the car since new. I will give you the information that I recieved from him and also as I see the car. Dave bought the car in April of 1973. It had 6,000 miles. It was originally a 318 Standard Shift car. It does not have power steering or power brakes but does have disc brakes. It is an original red car but not original paint. Now has a strong running 360 V-8, 650 CFM Edelbrock 4 BBL, Dual Plane Intake with 202 Heads, Headman Hedders, Dual Exhaust, 4 Speed 18 Spline Transmission, 8 3/4 (non posi) rear. The rear springs have been re-arched. Mechanically it is sound. The body is in very good shape. Dave told me in the early 90's it started to get a little bit of rust in various places. So both rear quarters were replaced, a small patch on the drivers side front floor pan done respectable, trunk pan was repaired with metal and made very solid. Also I saw a repair job done on the drivers side rear frame rail (see pics). All the other frame areas are original solid. There are a couple of bubbles on the passenger side fender bottom and door corner (see pics). Interior is all original. There is some splits on the rear seat and the front seats have seat covers I didnt take them off to see what was there. Dash pad has a couple of cracks. Door panels and carpets are in nice shape. Grill is in VERY nice condition. He had it metallic painted back in the day. It is missing the front filler panel between the bumper and grill. It has a set of custom aluminum wheels with new P245-60 R-14 BF Goodrich Radial TA Raised White Lettered Tires. There are a couple of little dings in the paint and some clear coat peeling on one pillar. Just needs a cosmetic going over. I think with a wet sand and a buff it would clean up nice. Over all, the car is in pretty decent shape for being 38 years old. Its a car that you can drive now and enjoy it for the upcoming season and make it nicer later. This car has never been advertised for sale and the fact that it is a one owner car is neat. We have the last registration and proper paperwork should you need a title in your state. We reserve the right to end the auction early in case of a local sale. If the car meets the reserve we will let the auction run to the end to be fair to all bidders.
