Vehicle Detail
1969 AMC 2 DOOR RAMBLER AMERICAN....Here is a 1969 Rambler American uncompleted project... It is a very low mile car... It was built with a 6 cylinder, automatic... It is an original white car... Car comes with a good Florida title... The engine in this car is from a 1969 Amx, it is a 343 cubic inch and it has a nice cam that sounds really good... This engine has excellent oil pressure, is spotless inside and looks like it could have been rebuilt... This would be an excellent car to make a Scrambler clone or even repair a Scrambler that is too far gone... Engine is complete and running, new radiator, electric fan, new 2 1/2" exhaust all the way to the rear end (no tail pipes)... The 343 does have a flywheel that looks like new with no heat cracks or wear marks... There is no clutch disc, pressure plate, throw out bearing, shifter or transmission in this car... It does have the correct aluminum bellhousing and there is a drive shaft for a 4 speed... The car has a custom engine cross member which uses the same motor mounts and engine brackets that an Amx uses... The car had a 4 speed in it, but you could also use an automatic... There are new bushings in most of the suspension, new brake lines, new fuel line, new battery and all new hoses, gas tank has been stripped and sealed and is like new inside and out... It has new front tires, the rear tires are no good and just for rolling the car... The car has no speedometer or radio... The headliner is very nice, not perfect but definitely presentable... No door pads or dash pad is included... The front seats are 1969 Amx seats and are bolted to the factory holes, no holes have been drilled in the floor... Back seat, believe it or not is from a 1972 Javelin and with a little work it could be used... Very minor finish body work, block sanding etc. is needed before paint... The car also has the factory sub-frame connectors like all Scramblers... The car also has the torque link brackets inside the frame rails that have been done... No torque links are included... Parts included are shown on the hood... The bumpers are decent, the rear bumper has a small dent...The underside of this car was done to very high standards and is completely done...If you would spray a little undercoating where it was originally sprayed the underside would look better than it did when it rolled off the assembly line. ***We have many more pictures that we can e-mail to any serious interested buyers showing every area of the car. ***This is an excellent opportunity to build that Scrambler clone or just a nice vintage driver to cruise around in. ***There is no reserve on this car and it can be left where it's at if the buyer needs time to arrange pick up.
