For sale is a 1999 Audi A4 1.8 Turbo Quattro. This car has a DEAD transmission that can only be replaced if you want the car to be running, or the car can be bought for parts. Transmission is AUTOMATIC, not manual like ebay description says. This car has a BAD transmission, and is being sold for parts or for transmission to be replaced. There's a great story behind this car. My brother bought this car from a dealer. Started driving home and the oil light came on. Instead of immediately returning the car, my brother put a great deal of money into fixing the car. He then gave it to me. Mar-12-11 A: Good evening, That's described in the small paragraph on the bottom. Another seller has already asked me, so I answered. In short: it was slipping on shifts for some time. Then light smoke was coming out and it would not go uphill. When I was driving on the highway, the car lost power, transmission smoked, and transmission is now covered with transmission oil. Only one sewed seam on one seat. No major scratches. Front passenger seat had some small pain stains, but they are not very noticeable. That website that I linked to describes all the work I put into the car. Mileage is specified. 167k miles. Engine had to be rebuilt because oil level was low. Transmission is really dead. It was slipping, then while driving 30 miles it stopped working, did not engage, smoke came out of transmission housing, and it is covered in transmission oil.
