Neat Jeep, Someone put power steering and an early Cadillac steering column in it and it is awesome, tilt, telescoping, easy to get in out with the wheel out of the way (I’m 6-5 and 250.) I installed a GM alternator, Painless Wiring Kit (I used wire loom and zip ties for everything no cut or loose wires), CJ7 front axle with disk brakes and CJ7 springs (The spring mounts where bolted and welded such that the position of the axles were in the same place.) The gas tank (new + sending unit) and skid plate were modified (see picture) to accommodate CJ7 springs (wider.) Ramsey 8000 winch (new motor and solenoids) and custom mount with baja style bumper and KC highlighters. Not much rust, a couple of places have old bondo under the paint see pictures some surface rust in other places. 225 V6 is tired; it runs but leaks and uses oil. I would put about a quart in every tank but always check it before driving. Transfer case and rear axle leaks some at the output and input respectively but work fine. New brake master cylinder, water pump, oil pump. Radiator came out of a Mitsubishi D50 pickup (couldn’t find a good source for a radiator so I searched the salvage yards and found that this fit perfect with an adapter plate that I fabricated.) Seats and frame were missing when I got it so I searched the salvage yards and found some seats that came out of an Daihatsu Rocky (seat position and recline work, real comfortable) that fit the floor plan perfect and I fabricated the frame integrating the factory mounts and made the passenger’s seat hinges out of the way to get to the compartment under the seat (nothing on this tub has been rigged, this is all quality work that was engineered for functionality.) It also has the good bestop soft top and doors, I paid over $500 for it on ebay, it has some stitching issues and tearing in the normal higher stress areas as they do with age but it will keep the wind and rain off of you and keep a little heat in also comes with good bikini top. The factory heater coil works but you have to switch it manually because the factory controls don’t work right completely. New JC Whitney glove box, defrost vent, and duct work. Newer headers and dual exhaust. Shoulder restraints in front and lap belts in back, email with any questions..
