1981 Chevy C-10 Pickup Up for auction is this 1981 Chevy C10 pickup. Th entire truck was redone a little over a year ago with new doors, new fenders, new bed sides, new tailgate, ect. The engine seized up, so i bought it from the long time owner. I just finished fully rebuilding the factory 5.0 engine with all new internal parts (cam, lifters, crank, pistons, everything). Additionally I reto-fitted the A/C to the new style 134a freon, installed a brand new front bumper, had the trans checked and fully serviced, and installed all new brakes and tires. This truck is atrue southern truck with no rust, and no frame rust. It is in excellent shape, esp. for the year. The engine runs excellent and starts right up with a quick tap of the gas to set the electronic choke on cold mornings. The seat material and carpet have been replaced. The felt around the windows has been replaced. The electric motors for the power door locks and windows have been replaced and work excellent. The factory AM/FM radio plays as it should. All the factory gauges on the dash work as they should. The bed has roll-in style bedliner material applied to it and is in excellent shape. Overall this truck is a solid 7 on a 1-10 scale, and an extremely dependable and reliable truck to drive long distance or on a daily basis. The 5.0 engine gets fairly decent gas mileage at an avg. of 18mpg combined city and highway driving.
