2009 Corvette Convertible Authentic Parade/Festival Vehicle Official 2009 Indianapolis 500 Parade Vehicle (1 of 35) May 24, 2009 Official 2009 Allstate Brickyard 400 Parade Vehicle ( 1 of 30) July 26, 2009 #8 of 30 in the Allstate Brickyard 400! My Corvette started its life as a 2LT Blade Silver Metallic Convertible with Black top and Ebony leather interior. MSRP was $60,710. It came with the standard LS3 6.2 liter 430 horsepower motor and 6 speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. This particular example has the sport bucket seats, Bluetooth, and optional Chrome wheels. It led an interesting life during the Indy 500 and Brickyard 400 races and then was offered for sale to select Indiana Chevy dealers. I wanted one of these since I saw them during the Indianapolis 500 festival… luckily my cousin owns Shaheen Chevrolet in Lansing, MI and he was able to buy this example for me! I had it shipped to me in Virginia where it has been in my personal collection. I have used it for weekend cruises and a few car shows; it always gathers attention wherever I drive it. Why am I selling it? Well.. I retire in 2 months and am selling the Corvette Convertible and my Cadillac DTS to buy an exotic (not sure which one yet but the ZR1 is on the list). This is my 6th Corvette and by far one of my favorites.. maybe even moreso than my 2007 Z06. The ride is so smooth and the 6 speed auto w/paddle shifters makes it very easy to drive around town. Onto the pictures! Cosmetically it is in excellent shape. Paint, leather, wheels, undercarriage are all in ‘like new’ shape. Mechanically it is 100%. I had the oil changed with Mobile 1 during its first service. It is ready for you to fly in and drive home! I am an auto enthusiast and have tried to describe the Corvette with words and pictures to the best of my ability. Do not hesitate to ask any questions, preferably before the last day of the auction.
