Vehicle Detail

scrappystace Store Hi. Up for auction is my 1969 Chevelle SS project, plus a second donor car, and many more extra parts. I bought this project last year, but have no real room to do this restoration, so am parting with it. The SS (blue car) has a clear Missouri Title. The donor is parts only. I will put half of the final sale total on the title, since you're buying an equal number of parts in this auction. The SS is mostly complete. The original 396 is not there, but there is a 396 block, crankshaft, pistons, rods, etc...an incomplete engine with this car. The SS has a small-block chevy engine in the car...not sure if it's a 350, 327, 307, or what. I got this engine running last year and it runs very smooth. Fresh oil, plugs in it. The transmission is in it, but I could not get it to engage. I'm not sure if it's a linkage problem, torque converter, or what. It got cold, and I quit working on it for the winter. I have kept it under cover in the cold weather, and dry. The car also has a brand new battery. The alternator was making power fine. The guy I bought the cars from had stored these two, plus the parts in an old dry barn for 12 years. There is very little rust, though the wheel wells need to be repaired. The donor car has every piece of sheetmetal you will need to patch in new panels. The underside is in good shape, with surface rust. The donor car had its frame cut from the back seat to the tail panel. I guess they were going to "tub" it, and never got around to it. The floor board is cut from the rear seat to the trunk, so it's just a big hole. The floor boards forward of this cut are in excellent condition, and can be used as a repair for any of the rust holes in the SS floorboards. There are a few, but nothing major. The trunk of the SS is not rotted through, and in good shape. The SS has a tilt column, disc brakes on the front, power brake booster, and power steering. It also was fitted with air conditioning. Originally, the SS was a "Lemans Blue" with a white interior. Most of the original interior is in place still. The original door panels with their SS396 emblems are here as well, but need to be replaced. I bought a nice set of bucket seats, which are excellent cores. The foam, and springs are great. The right seat has a rip, but otherwise are in excellent condition. As you know, these cores are very expensive if bought separately. There is a left and right hand seat. The soft top was originally white, and though it's been removed, the chrome strips are still there, and in good condition. The SS hood does have its cowl grill inserts as well. All of the SS emblems are missing, with the exception of the door panels as stated before. The original Lemans blue is still mostly intact, as well as the black tail panel "SS" area. There is no build sheet in the trunk, but all evidence shows this to be a true SS. It is also rare in that it's an original Automatic SS396. It has a 10 bolt rear end, but I do believe it to be Posi-trac. For spare parts, there are a lot. I have one excellent right front SS fender, in addition to the other two you see on the donor. There is another set of doors, several sets of rear windows, and at least three sets of tail light tubs (plus the ones on the SS). There are arm rests (including the original white ones), mirrors, headlight gear, lighting, and too many parts to mention. There is no usable front grill, but some of the parts are there. I also have the keys to the SS, and the donor's column. The windshield in the donor car is new, and excellent, never been bonded. The windshield in the SS has some air bubbles around the perimeter, but is uncracked or chipped. Again, there are enough parts here, and sheetmetal to patch in any repair panels you need. The remaining unused parts can be sold to recoup some of your money. My start bid is my reasonable reserve, and is what I have in it. You will have to come and get both cars, so no shipping is available. I will work with your schedule to help you pick up the cars...and I will assist loading. I require deposit within 7 days of end of auction, with the remainder to be paid before picking up the cars. If you need a little extra time, or special arrangements, contact me before the auction ends, and we can work with you. Sale is final. Thanks for looking at my auction, and God bless.
