Vehicle Detail
Up For Auction: Truck has a 312 Thunderbird Special with a 4 speed manual transmission. 2 owner truck, last owner owned the truck for 35+ years. The truck is very complete. Truck has not been painted since it left the factory. Body panels are all original and the only replacement part is the hood. The truck has no rust issues on the body. Cab corners are excellent -no rust. Doors open and close great, and the hinges are in good condition. The only parts that might not reused in a restoration might be the running boards and the tailgate. The truck did run and drive a few years back, before it was parked. The sheet metal in the bed is exceptionally straight with no dents or dings from the inside out. The gauges are in good condition and very clear. Odometer reads 29,665, however we are unsure if that is completely accurate. These trucks are getting harder to find, especially in the condition of being all original and untouched, and being solid in both the body and the chassis. This kind of truck is hard to decribe in its entirity, but I am available to discuss and answer any questions that you have, and the pictures don't really do it justice. This 56 would be a perfect candidate for a easy restoration. Call with any questions you might have. Thanks- 253-377-2266 -Brad THIS VEHICLE IS LISTED LOCALLY AND THEREFORE WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION EARLY In addition please note the following stipulations. Some of these can be found in our "payment options" as well. 1- If you are from Canada, and you decide to purchase this vehicle, there will be an additional 500.00 (USD) charge. Because of customs, inconveniences, and no recourse, and because one of your fellow Canadians ruined it for you. That is the case. Sorry, but there are too many hassles when dealing out of country. 2- If you are a dealer, you will also incur a 500.00 charge. Dealers generally are a pain to deal with and complain about every little detail because they are trying to turn and make a profit and because they tend to be schiesty. Any vehicle we have sold has been described accurately and has been thoroughly gone over. You will not get a better detail job from a local shop and you will not get the quality we have provided. We take pride in anything we do, and everything we sell. 3. We take cash and money wires. END OF STORY. I am not going to let a vehicle out of my possession until I have confirmed funds in my hands. Let me repeat: CASH OR MONEY WIRE. There are too many scams and bad people out there and unfortunatly we have dealt with several unsavory people in our experiences to know better. 4. You are the buyer. You are responsible for making yourself educated on the vehicle. We provide a phone number and don't cover anything up, but please ask all questions before you buy and not the reverse. We will not refund your deposit and that is non-negotiable. We do not misrepresent vehicles, and are very honest people. 5. Lastly, you are responsible for shipping. I have a few phone numbers to give you for good deals, but I waste a lot of time coordinating shipping for people, so it is up to you.On Mar-06-11 at 09:59:56 PST, seller added the following information: Thanks for all the great questions. I wish everyone could come look at this truck so you could see its potential. This truck does roll and steers easy and the emergency brake works. We can assist with loading or helping with transportation of the vehicle. Around the windshield, rear window, and side window areas there is absolutely no rust. The frame is straight and in excellent shape, with no rust. This truck is certainly a rare find. Thanks again for all the questions, and if there is anything else we can answer or do, feel free to call or write. We hate to see this truck go because we have looked so long for one like it, but we just have too many projects going at this time.
