Up for auction a very clean 1974 Honda CR125 Elsinore vintage motocross bike. I have owned many vintage cycles and I consider the first year Honda CR125 to be one of the most beautiful bikesever made. It looks lean, light and fast just sitting on display. This particular bike shows very welland has the correct parts that collectors want on a CR. The frame is straight with no bent footpegsor worn out swingarm bushings. The swingarm still retains the original chain guide with a roller.The handlebars are chrome-plated and the kill switch is the proper 2-position switch that is impossibleto find. The engine is typical Honda quality with a light clutch pull and smooth transmission. There isno chain damage to the serial number area of the cases and the the countershaft cover is perfect.The carburetor is the OEM Keihin with the correct knurled top. The kick starter is nice andtight with no play in the joint. The shifter and brake pedal are straight and polished like new.The stock exhaust is in excellent shape and has the right "pickle" silencer attached.The forks have been polished on the aluminum lowers and the top of the forks have perfectly chromed caps. The rear shocks are still the stock Showa suspension.The tank is a beauty and painted with correct flat green stripe down the center.The fenders and sidepanels look great and the front numberplate is OEM Hondathat has been restored with the correct rubber band mounting strap. Underneaththe bodywork is all the original wiring with the stock Honda aluminum ties holdingeverything in place. Cables and controls are all new too.
