Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is this 1970 Pontiac Lemans with GTO upgrades. This car belongs to my son who, like me, has plenty of projects ongoing and not enough time to do them all. He has had this car in storage for a little over 4 years and has been gathering up parts to put it together as a gto judge look a like. He is focusing on his Dodge Charger project at the moment so something has to go. I will try to give you as accurate a description as i can of this car . Body condition is quite solid . Original sheet metal from the fire wall back. There has been a little bit of work done on the quarter lips and lower extensions. There was a couple of small spots repaired in the trunk area. One small spot on passenger outer rocker panel. Floor pans and all braces are solid but need to be cleaned up on the underside before painting. Frame is in very nice shape. As far as the gto front sheet metal is concerned , the drivers side fender bottom had a repair and the hood had some repair also. The nose cone is in primer but did not have the flex additive, so that will need to be redone. Overall the body will need the next stage of prep work and blocking to be ready for final paint. We bolted the body parts back on but may not have got the lines exactly perfect. Motor and trans is from a 1977 pontiac trans am. It is a 400 4bbl V-8 with automatic transmission with approx 75000 original miles. We purchased this from a friend of ours 3 years ago .It was a good running gear when he pulled it out. It had a lot off after market exspensive parts like alum intake, demon carb, headers, mallory distributor, etc. We bought the motor and trans a little cheaper by giving him back those parts and keeping the original parts to the motor .So that is what this comes with. Carb needs to be cleaned and needs new gaskets also intake gaskets. So intake is just resting in place . We have all the little trinkets that go to the manafold includeing bolts. Interior back seat is original . We had bucket seats for the car but ended up useing them on another project. So we installed a bench seat in place. Needs a head liner . Door panels are wrinkled. The dash has one crack in the pad right in front of the steering wheel. I beleive they make a repair kit for this . The rest of the dash is perfect. There is a wiper mark in the windshield lower passenger side . The car is a power steering ac car. Manual drum brakes. Brakes are down from sitting. The ac box is still in place and all i have for ac parts is the radiator and condenser. Other parts that i have for the car that will be included in the sale are the following, Wood grain instrument cluster bezel for the dash, radiator with fan shroud and hoses , ac radiator and condenser, drive shaft, both wiper arms, the two top fender stainless moldings, complete vinyl top stainless and moldings, both hood hinges and springs, a black floor shift console minus the door and shift plate, automatic floor shifter complete with cable minus the shift knob, hood latch minus the lever, horns with brace, a nice pontiac gto tilt steering column for floor shift with standard steering wheel, passenger side arm rest and base, and bolts for hood and hinges, Tires are brand new P225- 70R-14 winston winner gt's mounted on pontiac rally wheels. Has brand new rear bumper installed. Iam sure there are things that i have not touched upon but hate to write a novel. I just want to make sure the potential buyer knows what they are getting. If you need a title in your state we are willing to register the car for an additional fee of $150.00 with this and our dealer paper work you can get a title in your state. We reserve the right to end the auction early as we have had some local interest. If the car meets reserve we will let the auction run to the end to be fair to all bidders.
