Always used synthetic oil since first change. Brand new convertible top New battery Stock 4.6L engine with 5speed with no mods except for styling bar Never been in an accident Carfax report available (9 yrs in Florida and 5 in CT but never saw snow or driven between November and April) Mechanical: Car runs great for 14 years old but has a few mechanical issues ABS light is on. Brakes work fine but ABS isn't active. Can't get a code on it but I suspect a sensor issue Odometer stopped working June '09 with 95K miles. I put about 8K miles on it per year so it has about 105K miles on it. I stopped driving it last November. CD player no longer works. Changed the fuel filter and pump in 2010. Transmission makes some bearing noise if you accidently start it out in 2nd gear. It has been that way for years with no impact to use. Appearance: Better shape overall than most other 97 GTs I've seen. Basically normal wear and tear inside and out except for left and right lower plastic aero fairings. Dog chewed on the left side and I busted the lower fairing backing over a dirt pile. I have a Ford Racing steering wheel cover on it because the leather on the wheel is shot. Back leather seats are like new. Front driver and passenger seats have normal wear. I kept leather conditioner on them over the years so I think they faired better than others with the same mileage Very little tread left on tires. Definitely needs new tires (245-45-17s). Wheels have some road rash. The KBB book value shows $5705 for excllent, $5280 for good, and $4605 for fair. The car is in good shape as the photos show but due to the issues above I'll let it go for less than fair market value. This sale is for local pickup only. I forgot to include in the auction listing that the AC blows cold. However, the last time I used the heater (Mar '09) I could smell anti-freeze which means the heater core could be bad. Heater still works but not sure how long it has. So I wanted to add this to the listing.
