For sale is my 2005 Porsche Boxster with the base 2.7 engine with 240HP and a five speed manual transmission. The exterior color is seal gray and the interior is gray. Options on the car include the Bose sound system with windstop, Boxster "S" 18" wheels with painted center caps, floor mats and automatic climate control. This is the first year for the second generation Boxster. There were many upgrades to the original Boxster for this year with the body changing slightly but a major improvement for the interior. Basically, the base 2005 Boxster was the equivalent to the 2000 Boxster S. It had the same brakes (black instead of red but same size) and had within 10 HP of the 2000 Boxster S but with a 5 speed instead of a 6 speed. I used to own a 2000 Boxster S and this car is at least as fast but it handles better. I am the third owner with the two previous owners being from Charleston, SC. I bought the car a little over two years ago with 56K miles. I have the original window sticker, all of the books and all records. The service is up to date. The current mileage is 74,500. The clutch is in great shape as there is no slippage. The transmission shifts like new with no synchro issues. It has new front rotors and pads at 55K miles. I put new tires on the car a couple weeks ago. It absolutely drives like new. We have driven it to Florida a couple times and it routinely gets near 30MPG. I haven't reset the fuel mileage indicator for well over a year and the overall average is showing 25MPG +. Kind of nice to have economy car mileage with Porsche performance. There is a small scratch on the driver's door and there is also a very small ding on the driver's door behind the door handle. Pictures of those faults are at the Photobucket site above. I had the nose painted when I bought the car because of stone chips. That is the only paintwork that has been done on the car. It has never been tracked or autocrossed. I have been in the Porsche club since 1978 and have owned many Porsches over the years. I know a good one when I see it which is why I bought this one.
