1978 Lotus Esprit Series 1.Built in late 1977.Same model Esprit used in the James Bond film "The Spy Who Loved Me". I bought it from a guy in southern Ca. who had done much of the restoration including new paint and interior. I continued the restoration getting the car back on the road and paying for required maintenance on the car. It currently runs strong with no smoke.or engine problems.The transmission is tight and shifts well.The Car is rust free. The following parts are new or rebuilt: Alternator Clutch master and slave cylinder Carburators Cam box seal Battery The car looks good from 10 feet away but has some stress cracks in the paint when you get close up.There are a couple of paint chips (see pics) It looks to me like it was originally white,sanded down and painted black.. Everything works exept the heater and the front turn signals.
