2003 Custom Built VW Trike - 1600 cc vw air cooled motor, 4 speed manual transmission with reverse - rear wheel drive with air ride suspension, sporster front end, chrome rear mags king and queen seat, pull back handlebars. Rear storage trunk, wheelie bars and engine gaurds. Frame powdercoated black with blue and silver metallic - fiberglass mfg. body painted pearl white and pinstripped.- five gallon gas tank. electric start. Trike currently has valid inspection sticker and meets all NYS requirements. Clear NYS custom title - Vin is stamped on yellow sticker on neck - Trike weighs 900 lbs unloaded, and is approciamtely 10ft long. What can you say - this is a wicked cool trike with plenty of horsepower to put those wheelie bars to use. Everything on this trike is top grade and well done, as you can see in the pictures. For anyone who knows ve trikes - this one is classic. the engine and drive train including the axles are from a vintage vw from the 70's that have been rebuilt and refitted for this fiberglass trike kit and frame. Trike starts and runs very well, shifts smoothly, and brakes on a dime. Drive ability is great - just have to keep in mind the rear width when turning - but once you become familier with it - piece of cake and fun to drive. easy on long trips - can also be rigged with a trailer hitch to pull a small trailer or camper. The reverse feature is cool It's truly a 3-wheel marvel and easy to maintain and clean.
