This car was a barn find car had been sitting for some 20 odd years .The previous owner said that the guy he bought it from said it used to be a drag car and that it had had various different engines. The name on car was sour grapes notice tow bar eyelets welded to front of lower frame in pic This 1965 chevelle ss was an original 327cid 4spd car .Its original color was Danube blue with medium blue imitation leather pattern interior. It has a tinted windshield ,it also has a in dash clock. Car was also ordered with comfort and conveyance option, rear seat speaker ,and seat belt custom deluxe with retractors. Car now has 1965 Chevy impala ss 300hp 327cid engine according to suffix code stamped on front of block (HB) .Casting # on block ( 3782870) indicates 1965 327cid date on block (A 4 5 ) indicates JAN 4 1965. The heads are camel hump with casting (#3782461 ) indicating 2.02 valve with 64 cc chambers dates on heads match (A 11 5 ) indicating JAN 11 1965.The carburetor is a carter AFB with #( do3721SB)indicating it is off a 300 hp 327 cid corvette W man trans, Intake and exhaust manifolds are correct for 1965 chevelle. Car has aluminum bell housing with cast #(3858403) that is the correct type for 1965 chevelle. The car had an original M20 4 spd now has 3 spd with a hurst shifter out of 1965 chevelle according to previous owner. Do not know what rear diff car originally had previous owner said it has Chrysler 411 limited slip in car now . I tried to identify rear end could not find any id tags all I can tell you is that it looks to be a limited slip front loaded diff with a to piece welded case with a welded smooth cover. I looked at the way the rear end was installed in car and was put in very professionally ( not a hack job) if you didn’t know any better it looks like it belongs there. I also noticed that the trailing arms are boxed and has air shocks. Frame on car is solid and not rusted out inner and outer rocker panels are also solid. Car runs great doesn’t knock or smoke starts right up sounds tight .Engine has great oil pressure about 30 psi at idle no leaks or anything. Car does yard drive brakes work but are spongy. Gas line was unhooked for fear of picking up dirt in tank small tank under hood (seen in pics) doesn’t go with car ,battery doesn’t go with car either. Before I started car I took carb, dist, off took apart cleaned and reinstalled. I put on new plugs, wires ,and fuel pump and put in new antifreeze. Water pump does make a little noise. body is in fair shape has usual rust around rear wheel openings, some pinholes around rain gutter ,lower edge of trunk lip has some rust, panel between trunk and rear bumper has some rust, little rust on bottom of doors, and inner structure of hood. Floor pans and trunk pan need to be replaced overall car is pretty straight there are some small dents on roof from hood being laid on roof. All glass is pretty good shape and not cracked or fogged over. seats are not correct but they look to be of correct era .I have described this car as best as I can. look closely ask questions what you see is what you get I have no extra parts .There is no warranty no refunds all sales final buyer is responsible for all shipping costs or pick up. Car must be picked up within 2wks auction end. The only way to pay is with pay pal money order or cash. $1500.00 due within 24 hrs of auction end remainder to be paid in cash upon pickup . REMEMBER BATTERY AND SMALL FUEL TANK UNDER HOOD DO NOT GO WITH CAR!
