Vehicle Detail

2003 VW Jetta GLS TDI Wagon Current mileage 198,871 VIN – WVWSP61J33W435000 I am the original owner. My original intention was to drive this car forever. “Diesels’ when properly maintained will run forever” When I was younger a 5 speed was fun, now as I get a bit older I’d rather have the automatic. Call me an old “fuddy duddy”. Therefore I purchased a 2011 with an automatic transmission, and am selling my “pride and joy” It’s also important to know that I’m a staunch NON-SMOKER, with no pets. I’m also a “fiscal conservative”. I always parked this car in my garage or in a shady place when away from home. I would park in the back of parking lots when possible to avoid door dings. I have 100% of all maintenance records and am happy to provide upon request. When I purchased this car new, I not only kept every receipt for all maintenance but, a fuel mileage log as well. Every time I filled it up I’d log the miles, gallons, price and date. This way I was able to determine exactly what my mileage was and my annual operating cost as well. I seriously doubt that you will find anyone anywhere that has kept such a complete record for their car. The car is in excellent condition mechanically and very good cosmetically. There are a few minor cosmetic blemishes. I have made every attempt to document them in the photographs provided. Where ever you see my finger pointing there is a small issue. Here is my list of minor issues: 1. Small scrape on one of the rims. 2. Small holes on the middle console from a hands free cellular cradle. 3. Where the front spoiler connects to the body there is a small space, this is barely noticeable. 4. A few small chips in the paint. 5. About two years ago during a VERY windy day a shopping cart at the supermarket got blown against the rear of the car. I had it repaired and you can barely notice that there was some minor damage. 6. The only thing I notice is that when the starter moter disengages there is a sound from the solenoid. It's been that way for a few years and works fine. There are VERY minor paint chips consistent with age and mileage. There is no rust; this car has never been driven out of California. The leather “boot “around the stick shift is worn and the leather on the edge of the driver's seat is slightly worn. No tears anywhere. I have the “Expel” film covering the headlamps; this protects them from becoming pitted. Everything functions - power windows, power locks, cruise control, sunroof, cold AC, seat heaters, AM/FM, cassette, CD, wipers, power mirrors, and alarm. This has the MONSOON sound system. I had an XM receiver and digital interface installed. It plays through the MONSOON. I will keep the XM Subscription active for you until March 31, 2011. After then if you like XM as much as I do you can get a subscription. Most recent maintenance: Tires- 192,627 miles Serpentine belt, pulleys, tensioners’ etc-177,519 Thermostat, interior blower fan- 163,266 Front and rear brakes, pads and rotors- 153,211 Four wheel alignment- 152,801 Clutch, bearing, flywheel- 148,151 Water pump- 142,514 Battery- 137,353 Timing belt- 112,359 The manual calls for oil change every 10,000 miles using API Service CF4 or CG4 SAE 5W-40. I have always used synthetic oil that meets these API standards. Here is my oil change log, I changed the filter each time I changed the oil: 5,000 10,218 15,263 20,601 25,821 30,836 35,562 41,357 45,742 51,330 56,819 63,847 72,263 80,037 87,199 95,461 105,357 116,253 124,501 132,236 141,755 152,594 162,599 171,513 179,530 186,320 196,607 I last changed the air filter and cabin air filter at 196,607 miles I am not ending the auction early. Please do not call or e-mail me asking me to do so. I intend to abide by this and all other EBay policies. If you use “buy it now” I will provide you with a one way ticket to Sacramento on Southwest Airlines from the closest SWA servicing airport to you. *A deposit of $500 must be sent to me via PAYPAL or wire transfer within 72 hour of the close of auction. This is non-refundable. (I’m not flying you out to Sacramento for free only to tell me you changed your mind) I can be reached at 916-952-8466 to answer any questions. Sincerely, Edward A. Skupien On Feb-09-11 at 20:18:31 PST, seller added the following information: My "buy it now" is $8500. I'm not sure why it disappears when the first bid is placed. Some adds have it some don't. This is one thing that irratates me about ebay. So, my add states that if you use "buy it now" I'll fly you here. If you would like to use this feature call me. I'll cancel the add and you will get the car. Sorry to have to do it this way. Perhaps someday ebay will give the option to leave "buy it now" on the add until the auction closes. On Feb-10-11 at 10:36:39 PST, seller added the following information: On Feb-11-11 at 09:12:18 PST, seller added the following information: 2003 VW Jetta GLS TDI Wagon Current mileage 198,871 VIN – WVWSP61J33W435000 I am the original owner.
