Vehicle Detail

1985 Honda Odyssey FL 350. I bought this for my wife in 2003 for $3,300. She loved the power and security of having a wide wheel base and a full roll cage to protect her. The steering wheel instead of handlebars was another plus. One of the best features is the centrifugal clutch. No shifting, no clutch petal, no stalling on inclines. There are 3 positions 1) Neutral 2) Forward 3) Reverse. Even idling in gear the Odyssey will just sit there... until the engine reached enough RPM to engage the clutch and off she goes. One problem... We got busy with our lives and it sat for two years without riding it. My mechanic tells me the engine needs between $ 450 and $600 dollars worth of parts. Then there is the labor to replace these parts. We have moved on to mountain bikes and can not justify the expense of repairing something that we will not use. This is an incredible opportunity to own a rare collectable quad for a very reasonable price. If you are a mechanic or like to tinker with engines this would be a great project. Every other part and system on this Odyssey works fine and I am resisting the urge to sell it part by part. If you already have one of these this would be a great spare parts quad. I would like to get $ 1,000 dollars for this Odyssey, but no reasonable offer will be refused. If you have any questions about the specific parts needed I will provide the name and phone number of the repair shop it is currently located at. You can either buy the Odyssey as is and get the parts needed yourself, or have the repair shop do the work for you. They have been in business for many years and have done numerous tune-ups on this machine. I will work with anyone who needs this shipped. You set up and pay for shipping and I can drop it off to any trucking/shipping company you choose. I do not want to make any money on shipping. If you can secure a great deal with shipping than you benefit. If you have any questions please call Steve or Lisa @ 602-944-8040 or 602-391-4740 My mechanic tells me the following parts will need to be replaced or repaired: * Gasket kit with seals * Piston * Possible crank bearings * Bore out cylinder * Carb R & R * Fuel flush To my great surprise I checked my e-bay account today and could not find my own listing. At first I thought someone had bought it and then noticed that I apparently had nothing for sale. I checked my messages and found the following alert message from e-bay. Aparently I needed to list the Odyssey in "eBay Motors-Powersports-ATV's" instead of the category it was listed in "Parts and Accessories-ATV parts" eBay apparently gets more fees in the new category and ended my listing. Sorry for the inconvenience of 212+ people who were watching and thinking about buying the Odyssey. Believe me, no-one is more inconvenienced than me because I had to retype all this copy again.... and pay to have it listed again. I have purchased many things over the years from e-bay but this is my first listing. I do appologise for the inconvenience. It gives me a new appreciation to all the sellers whom I have purchased from in the past. This new listing will only be 7 days instead of 10. I do hope this Odyssey goes to someone who will really appreciate and enjoy it as much as we have.
