1999 Mercedes Benz E-300 turbo diesel with 176K. Car gets excellent fuel mileage. In town I get 23-26mpg and on the road I get 33-36mpg. I am only the 2nd owner of this car and it has been in NC since new. It was purchased brand new from Leith Mercedes in Raleigh. AM/FM/6 cd changer, all options minus heated seats. Everything works as it should, windows, A/C(ice cold), sunroof/moonroof, all interior lights, cruise control, etc. Two knobs are missing, the radio knob is missing. This does not effect radio just the black button is missing. The knob that adjust side mirrors is missing. I've noticed this knob is a common problem to be missing on these cars. Interior - Overall interior is in very good condition. Never smoked in, never had pets. Dash is excellent for age but it is 12 years old. The one flaw is a 3-4" tear in driver seat. All other seats are excellent for age, no other tears, stains or blemishes. There are no floor mats. Mechanical - No leaks, drips or smoke when running. Car has excellent acceleration for a diesel. Oil was just changed with Mobil 1 full synthetic with a new fram oil filter. New fram air filter was installed at the same time. Both completed at 175K. Car rides and drives good. Starts everytime with no trouble even on these cold mornings we've had lateley. Exterior - Car has never been in a wreck. The normal wear and tear you would expect from an 12 year old car. Car looks good, but it's not perfect...it is 12 years old. Inspection in person is encouraged for everyone if possible. Inspections and test drives for locals - You can either e-mail me with your contact information or call my cell # at 919-538-5347, leave message if no answer. Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction and cancel all bids at any time due to a local sell. Cash in person beats any bid on eBay. Downpayment A $250 deposit is required within 24 hour after auction ends. This is non refundable, whether you complete transaction or not. The deposit only can be paid via paypal. Payment/shipping. Title is clear and free. NC requires all titles to be notarized. Title will not be left blank. It will be done at bank with all sections filled out and notarized. Certified check from a local bank where funds can be verified is the only form of payment, no exceptions. I will ship, but you have to pay for shipping, arrange shipping and assume all responsibility and liability. Car is sold as is with no warranty. It is my daily driver so mileage will change slightly. Vehicle inspection in person is encouraged. Car can be seen by a mechanic at your cost and must be convenient to me. I live and work near Mercedes dealership and several private shops. Transaction must be completed within 7 days after auction ends. On Feb-15-11 at 07:11:40 PST, seller added the following information: Titles in NC must be notarized, which means buyer and seller must be present to sign title. No exceptions for completing the title. No personal checks accepted. No bankers checks accepted unless the bank has a local branch in Raleigh, NC where funds can be verified. Vehicle will not be released for shipping until all funds for car have cleared the bank. Shipping is the buyer's responsibility. I am a private seller and have never shipped. Buyer must make all arrangements for shipping and pay shipper before I will release vehicle.
