Vehicle Detail
1959 Triumph Tr3A For Sale "No Reserve" Please feel free to call or email me at anytime regarding this vehicle, I am happy to discuss any topics of concern, thanks again for taking the time to look at my car, much appreciated! Chris - 727-480-0203 or cankwiz@gmail.com Up for sale is my '59 tr3a. This is a very nice vehicle that has been restored over the past year. There has been thousands of dollars put into this finely restored classic roadster. The starting bid is set low as I do need to sell this car at this time, anyone winning this vehicle will be very satisfied with this lovely classic roadster The entire interior has been replaced, custom features of the interior were provided by a well known interior specialists in Ohio. The seats are brand new and beautifully covered in red material with black piping, the door panels, rear panels, jump seat, and back seat panels all are detailed alike. There is brand new black carpet throughout with all new padding. The dash has been custom painted in Old English white to match exterior color and trimmed in red to match interior, I have had more compliments on this feature than any other regarding this vehicle. I have had the steering wheel refurbished in a black high gloss finish. This vehicle also comes with its' original convertible top, I have replaced the plastic windows by a convertible top shop in Sarasota, FL. I have kept all the original seats and interior panels that will go with car. This car shows no rust, every detail where rust may have been found previously has been cut out and new metal welded in, there was initially very few areas that needed this attention since this car has been garage kept for the last 30 years, to my knowledge. I kept everything I could original on the exterior, bonnet hinges, windshield, bumpers (front and rear), grill, wipers etc. I felt this added to the classic touch that this car deserves. The exterior paint is painted in Old English White with 4 layers of clear coat. All fender beading has been replaced and is in perfect condition. The side mirrors are brand new along with the bonnet attachments. The engine bay has been painted to match the exterior. The engine itself has been detailed in black (original). I recently have had the motor rebuilt by a custom mechanic and also a British race car driver that is very well known in the British Heritage clubs locally. The entire engine has been gone through, replacing the crank, compression is good on all cylinders and oil pressure is ideal. The SU carbs have also been sent to sucarbs.com and have been polished and rebuilt, I have added very nice polished filters showing the SU logo on each, very nice (bought through Moss Motors). All gaskets and seals have been replaced. We also replaced the timing chain, tensioner, sump gasket, pilot bushings, etc. The generator, starter, water pump, thermostat, water pump pulley, timing chain cover, belt, radiator hoses, ignition coil, rotor, points and condenser, and fuel pump have all either been replaced or rebuilt with parts from Moss Motors, British Heritage, or Victoria British. I do have all receipts reflecting what has been bought or replaced throughout this restoration. The 60 spoke rims have been sand-blasted and refinished in silver/gray and clear-coated. The tires are brand new with less than 10 miles on them, they are a Universal Tyre featuring a thin red wall highlighting the interior color. Front and rear brakes, brake calipers and brake lines have been replaced as well. I have had radiator flushed and pressure tested and has been re-painted in black. There is a few items that I would like to disclose to any potential bidder/buyer. There has been a small leak in the reservoir can creating minor paint damage under the can, I have contacted the original painter and he claims it is a very easy repair. Some gauges are in need of repair or replacement, all are original and reflect made in England on them, however I cannot guarantee that all gauges are in perfect working condition. The heater core is in place but is not connected at this time, it has been tested and did reflect that it is in working order, I chose for some reason not to connect it along the way, maybe because it was near 100 degrees here in Florida when I was at that point of my restoration. This vehicle will need an alignment at some point, I have not done anything at this point with steering - I felt it was not in need at the time. I have original horn but it is not in place at this time - I have tested horn and it does work. Basic wiring and gauge work may need done, very minimal work can be done to make everything perfect. This car runs and drives well, and will be a great addition to a collector or for someone who just wants to enjoy this lovely British classic. Thank You for taking the time time to look at my car, it has been a great venture and I have met many great British car owners along the way. Bid with confidence, you will enjoy this Tr3 and I will miss it dearly. I also have a ton of misc. parts that will come with vehicle if winning bidder wants them, otherwise I will sell them separately. A very short list is: engine block and head, transmission, ignition coils, generators, starters, clutch plates and parts, valves, pistons, oil pan, timing chain covers, pulleys, overriders, headlight assemblies, original world globe hubcaps, original rock guards, full windshield, glass light covers, curved glass gauge covers, original radiator, original seats and panels, pillars, 4 - 48spoke rims, 4-steel hub rims, multiple fittings, brackets etc. the list goes on and on and on..my garage is 1/2 full of triumph parts and accessories. I can provide exact detail of everything I have if winning bidder is interested! This vehicle is sold by a private seller and is sold as-is, there is no guarantee/warranty provided with sale of this vehicle.
