Vehicle Detail
1976 Jeep CJ5 Renegade 69,709 original miles 304 V8 with 2bbl (motor appears to be bone stock), T-150 3 speed transmission Doesn’t leak anything Drum Brakes, with new drums all the way around Bestop is in perfect condition, no cracks or tears Has bikini top and roll bar pad 1 ½ inch wheel spacers were added and it greatly improved the stability 33x12.50 tires with good tread (Jeep has not been lifted) All original, except: Jeep was a “Levis” edition; meaning seat covers and dash were tan denim. The seats were recovered a long time ago (I would guess late 70s/early 80s), and are in perfect shape except for a tear on the drivers seat. The dash was painted over (you can see some of the denim pattern where the paint has chipped). The rear axle was originally 2-piece, but has been upgraded to a one piece axle. Jeep has nerf bars, which were welded in. They are heavy-duty and look good. Body is very straight, with almost no rust. One small dent near left side of rear bumper and a couple of dings on the hood.. that’s really it. This Jeep lived in a garage most of its life, and still looks great – paint is original. If this is a restoration project, you would only need to replace the fenders before painting it. The decal is baked on, but the paint still looks good. I have the paint codes, etc (it’s ‘Firecracker Red’ not ‘Renegade Orange.’) I also have new hood hardware (black) and a new Dash pad - which I bought and decided not to use – would rather paint over the original dash again. I added a center console Jeep runs great, everything works, except the voltage meter. The glass over the clock needs to be replaced. All in all, it’s a very good Jeep in original condition with no rust to speak of. It's a good-looking Jeep as-is, or would make a great resto-project. It's basically untouched and all original throughtout. Sold as-is. Buyer responsible for delivery/pickup.
