Vehicle Detail

Here we have an incredible time piece. It has 21,350 ORIGINAL MILES. I would say this is the lowest milage Toronado on the planet and it is in showroom condition. First a bit of history: Like her GM counterparts, the Cadillac Eldorado and Buick Riviera, this car has the elegance and style that made them all very desirable in their day. In fact, I get positive feedback about the car almost every time I drive it(wow - what year is that? It's a beauty...etc.) The key difference between this car and the others is that it’s got the best engine. As nice as the Eldorados of these years looked there is no comparison in the performance of this 5.7 liter V8 and the 4.1 liter which routinely develops engine trouble due to issues with the cooling system and other factors (read about them online) or the 307 V8 that is in later model Rivieras and even Toronados. The car was purchased from the estate of the original owner who lived in Indiana, and as a result I have all of the paperwork including the original bill of sale to prove it. The original owner did not commute in this car but used it only for weekend drives putting less than 1000 miles a year on this car. The car was always garaged and covered. When new, the car was rust-proofed and undercoated professionally by the Oldsmobile dealer . A remote alarm and a modern CD stereo was later installed. Both operate perfectly and they are the only modifications made to the original car. This car runs and drives JUST LIKE A BRAND NEW CAR. There are no noticeable squeaks or rattles when driving. She starts right up every time. The air conditioner blows cold, and everything including the clock works. Even the warning lights (headlights on, door ajar, low feul etc.) work exactly as they are supposed to. The engine and transmission run like it did the day it left the factory. The tires are like new with very few miles on them. Everything in the interior is like new, all the vinyl is soft and supple, all the wood applique is perfect, and the seats dont look like they have ever been sat in as you can see in the pictures. It even has the original floor mats and they are like new and they have never been off the original carpets which again are factory new. The trunk is also like new with the spare having never been used, all the original jacking equipment is in place and never used. The car even smells new.. its AMAZING! The gentlman I bought the car from got it at the estate sale, not that he really wanted it but he felt that with such low miles he could not pass it up. As with any car this age, regardless of miles certain items, like front end bushings car dry out, so he took it to his mechanic and told him to do what ever was needed to make it as good as the day it drove of the dealers lot. Heres what he had done, and I have all the reciepts for this work. Replaced wiper blades NY State Inspection (passed with flying colors) Full Tune Up using only AC Delco parts Spark Plugs Ignition Wire Set Distributor Cap Distribution Rotor PCV Valve Fuel Filter Air Filter ? Exhaust System from the cat back, using Walker exhaust parts – not cheap aftermarket replacements that are available for hundreds $$ less o Walker Lifetime guarantee muffler o Resonator and Pipe Assembly, clamps ? Front End work - to ensure a smooth ride o Upper Ball Joints o Sway Bar Links o Steering Idler Arm o Full Front End Alignment o Tire Rotation ? Rear Brakes o Rear Wheel Cylinder o Brand NEW Rear Brake Drums o New Monroe Brake Shoes ? Heater Core o Replaced heater core (wasn’t leaking but was ready to go due to age) ? Engine Starter Motor, Alternator, and Battery were all replaced ? Replaced Heat/A-C blower control switch ? Replaced Choke thermostat The total of all these items is over 3600.00 dollors, and they truly make this car deserving to be placed in an Oldsmobile collection or museum, its really that good. The original owner really liked the pearl white that came out on the Toronado in the mid 80s and even though the original paint was perfect he had it repainted, and while it looks great, excellant shine it has a few tiny imperfections in it, a couple of chips but nothing at all serious. The rear bumper filler was replaced and painted the original white color so it does not have the pearl in it, an easy thing to change if you want to. For the true Oldsmobile collector, or to make it meusem perfect it should go back to the original white. But honestly it is stunning as it is, im just trying to make sure that I tell you everything about this car. The only things that are amiss are that the P/S remote mirror has been fixed in place, the control wand is in place as you can see in the pictures, and I have not looked into it to see if its loose or what, and a few times I had to tap the wiper motor to get it going, when the wipers are in the hidden position the contact must be a bit dirty so with a little ceaning it should be fine. I bought this car because i have always like the body style, and it is in such perfect condition, I thought it would be a great car for my new place of residence in Phoenix AZ, I just moved here from PA and im so glad to be rid of snow. So I sold my Tahoe and bought this incredible car. Having driven it a few hundred miles, and just turning over the 21K mile mark I realized that for me to use this as a daily driver is WRONG, It really need to go to an Oldsmobile collector to be maintained for the future. All of the correct maintenance has already been done, this car needs to be preserved, so I decided to list it here on Ebay to see if a collector wants to add it to thier collection. I am starting it at a very reasonable price with NO RESERVE. If you want a truly collectable car for your collection you dont want to miss this car. If you have any questions feel free to call me at 623-328-9228, Also check out my reviews, i have sold alot on Ebay and i have 100%
