Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a 1969 "POST" Roadrunner with a highly modified 440 which is fueled by a real mopar six pack. Not an aftermarket. The car when purchased was a drag car shell. It has undergone extreme modifications to get to its current condition. The motor is built with all the same parts as the article entitled "Mo-Power" from the Car Craft magazine. The only differences are that it has a 71 440 forged crank, a 6 quart hemi oil pan, full roller rockers, high volume water pump, chrysler distributer, six pack carb setup, and mopar polished valve covers. You probably could not build this motor today for under $20000.00. The article can be found here: http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/116_0111_535hp_440_engine/index.html The motor in the article made 535hp and 582ft-lb of torque. The particular motor in the car has never been put on a dyno but can it rock!!! When the motor was intalled it was mated to a NEW tko 600 5 speed transmission. For this installation it was necessary to have the bell housing machined to the engine. It works great. The car has been de-tubbed and put back to stock configuration. New floorboards and quarters were professionally installed and the car was painted about two years ago. The quarters are not to my satisfaction and may need to be redone. You will not find bondo in this car. The gas tank is new along with the brakes. It has an oversized radiator and dual electric fans and adjustable fan controller. It also has 3" TTI exhaust that sounds amazing. The rear end is a brand new Strange that hasn't even completed break-in. It also has adjustable racing shocks in the rear and new heavy duty rear leaf springs. The car has been completely rewired with an Easy Wire kit except for the motor harness which is reproduction. The hood is an aftermarket figerglass hood that is extremely light and easily taken off by one person. An original Mopar steal hood is also available for the taking as is a fiberglass front bumper, if you want them. The interior has new carpet, the original dash minus the addition of a large tach and autometer oil pressure, water temp, and voltmeter gauges. The car also has BRAND NEW corbeau seats. The car has currently never even been driven with these seats. There is also a brand new headliner installed. I am sure I am forgetting so much but this should wet any Mppar enthusiasts whistle. The real value of this car is in the drive train. The rest of the car is in ok to good shape but is still is in need of being finished. It is drivaway condition right now and can be yours at my loss. Thank you for looking and have fun. I reserve the right to end the auction early. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will answer them to the best of my abilities. I offer a 10 day money back guarantee so long as I receive a $2000 down payment within 24 hours of the close of the auction. If buyer timely pays the down payment, and inspects the vehicle within 10 days of the close of the auction and is not satisfied, no questions asked, I will refund the down payment, rescind the transaction through ebay with buyers cooperation, and will not provide negative feedback. This guarantee ceases to exist if the vehicle is shipped prior to inspection. My phone number is (815) 560-1292.
