Vehicle Detail
Very nice 1998 BMW 318ti for sale. Great shape inside and out. Car is from Seattle and has no rust whatsoever on it. 5 speed transmission gets awesome gas mileage...32 MPG on highway...27 in the city. Very solid car. drives straight and handles superbly. Paint is still very nice...cleans up great. Exterior is dark green and interior has the M-Package sports seats with leather bolsters and cloth centers. Also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction. Has remote keyless entry and security system, power sunroof, leather trimmings for steering wheel and shift and brake knobs, unique alloy wheels. The M-Package carries sport suspension components with firmer settings for springs, shocks and roll bars, firmer front seats, leather trimmed sports seats, plus fog lamps. 6 CD CHANGER. I bought the car a few months ago after an exhaustive search around the western US. Finally found this one in Seattle and flew up and drove it home to Utah. My priorities have changed and I need to free up the cash I spent on the car. It has been adult owned (a dentist before me and a physician before that) and has absolutely zero rust. Runs beautifully. The motor and trans are original. Motor uses very little oil--maybe .5 quart between oil changes. It has been well maintained and run on synthetics from new. There is no smoke or roughness whatsoever. Clutch replaced last year. Shifts great. Quick and handles great. Newer tires, brakes, and front suspension (control arms and bushings). Interior has the sport seats. The leather on top of the seat bolsters is a little rough, but could be fixed easily. Nothing wrong with the car. These cars are increasingly hard to find, and you won't find one in this condition. On Jan-27-11 at 03:25:33 PST, seller added the following information: In response to a few questions, I want to clarify the condition of the car. There are small issues (and features) that come with the car having gone 200k miles. Here are the main ones I can think of not listed in the original description: The driver side window raises more slowly than a new one does. There are a few minor door dings. The steering wheel is slightly turned when going straight. This is a cosmetic issue that is easily remedied. The cargo cover tray in the hatchback has strings that raise it. The clips on these strings are compromised. See photo. The cloth part of the seats could use a shampoo. The car is a non-smoker car. Smells like a new BMW.Has anti lock brakes and traction controlThat's all I can think of. If these change your mind about bidding and you have already bid, I apologized. I will cancel your bid if you would like. The reserve is set significantly below the Buy-It-Now price. Once that reserve is reached, the Buy-It-Now option will go away.
