Vehicle Detail
Well, here's a head turner, thumbs up getter, smile making Yoda for you. I've had our boy Blue for about 3 years. Came from North Carolina and the guy sold me a bill of goods 'cause it wasn't anywhere near as mint condition as he claimed and I overpaid. I, on the other hand, will give you the true story- of course. Blue has had brake work (they are great), rust repair, new tires, tune up, and exhaust work. He has a real inspection sticker from 7 months ago, but there is a new hole (see picture) in the floor that needs attention. (the floor is really all the rust there is) The truck has always started and been anxious to go- even in the dead of winter. Speaking of starting, the ignition switch is bad and right now he starts with a toggle on the dash. I usually yell "contact" before I push it down just to humor the Yoda. I take him to camp for 6 or 7 months a year which is a daily commute of 60 miles. Doesn't pull, shimmy, shake, whine or complain. I wish I knew the mileage because maybe he could be in a Toyota advertisement- for all I know it's 462,000 miles. The tires are close to 100%, the heater and all the dash lights, instruments, wipers, blinkers, work fine. There is no radio but there is ahole. (the guy I bought it from somehow neglected to tell me someone had forcibly removed it.) The windows are an issue as both of them seem to be having problems staying up. (that happens when you are old as he is) It does burn and leak some oil. It's not terrible, and the leaking part is minimal from the famous R20 workhorse. All in all, he's dependable and solid as you can see in the pictures. An engine job down the road and you've got a friend for another 30 years. That-a-boy Blue!
