Kharman Beetle convertible, professionally restored 7 years ago, kept in a humidity controlled garage since then. We only used this car as a beach car in the summer so there's a grand total of about 200 miles on it since restoration. Nothing was spared in doing this, the paint and bodywork cost over $8,000 back then not to mention the mechanical and roof work. All rusted pieces were changed out (floor pans and rear shelf and seam welded in place. I had this painted to the factory paint codes I received form VW. Changed the top to a canvas top instead of vinyl, upgraded the seats to black with gray velour's inserts, used brushed aluminum accents throughout and added the radio, amp and 4 speaker sound system. You can see in the pictures that this car was done RIGHT. Everything was stripped out of it and replaced/rebuilt, not just the floorboards and a new paint job what some people call fully restored. The motor and transmission were rebuilt as well. The transmission is the rare semi-automatic, meaning anyone can drive this amazing car. The transmission automatically applies pressure to the clutch when you shift gears. Things I would do if I was keeping this car: I never hooked up the heater controls since we only used this in the summer, but the parts are there.There are 3 paint chips on the drivers rear fender I would fix.The drivers side rear door panel has a small tear in the vinyl. Other than that this car is clean, clean, clean. The car is located in my garage and can be picked up in Riverhead NY, but I can also deliver it to a local buyer in Queens. If you're an out of state buyer I'll bring the car into Queens to save you money on shipping. The buyer must arrange for shipping or pick up. The reserve price is only $3,000.00
