Vehicle Detail

For Sale, a true garage/barn find. From everything i was told by the man i bought it from, this is a 1930 Ford Model A Sports Coupe. There is NO motor, Trans, Frame, Rear End or running gear of any kind, what you see is what you get. The body is there, The hood and hood sides are there as well as the rear deck lid, the wood in the roof is there but not good, the top is there but as you can see its not that great either. The doors open and close, the front windshield is there and it does tilt out as it should. Both rear fenders and both front fenders are there as well. Both running boards are there and they still have the "FORD" step plates on them. I "think" all the bumbers and brackets are there but im not positive, there also appears to be an original shifter and some linkage too. Theres a headlight bar with large round lights on them, there appears to be an "Oooga" horn and the rear light and lisc' plate bracket. Theres alot of parts here. I can try to get everything out and get pictures taken but theres alot of snow on the ground and im unable to get to everything at this time. I know im forgetting many things so please ask questions before you bid. You may look at the car in person before bidding and i can send a file of nearly 50 pictures so that you can sort through them to see whats there. The floors rusted and the front body has rust in the area in front of the doors at the bottom, the doors look pretty good. Use the pictures to judge the condition as i am no expert. I can not ship this item unless you make all the arrangements and pay before the item is shipped. I would prefer that you pick up this item in person and pay in cash. Sold AS IS with a bill of sale only. "NO TITLE" "NO TITLE" I have described this item to the best of my knowledge but please ask questions before bidding unless you are satisfied by the pictures. This was pulled out of the garage where it sat for 16 years and thats when the pictures were taken, nothing has been cleaned or altered for the pictures. This MUST be picked up within 7 days of the end of the auction. On Jan-17-11 at 16:26:34 PST, seller added the following information: I was asked if it could possibly be a Business coupe...i have no idea what the difference is, i was told it was a Sports Coupe and as stated i am not an expert or an authority on these cars. It is what the picture shows it is. Please use the pictures to judge the condition and the model. The glass wind wing has "1930" etched in it, thats the only info on the car. There is a data plate of some kind on the firewall but its unreadable. On Jan-17-11 at 23:57:02 PST, seller added the following information: I've been getting too any people asking me to ship this to other countries, i wont ship to other countries because theres no way to get "Cash in hand" at the time of pickup if its going to be shipped to some country and i can not and will not be responsible for palletizing all this stuff and shipping it to another country. Im not equipped or skilled enough to do so and im not being paid to do that and im certainly not shipping this to Japan as requested by one guy. I hope im making this clear this time.On Jan-18-11 at 00:09:12 PST, seller added the following information: Ok...One minute after posting the last revision i was asked if i would put everything on a pallet and take a check for it when the truck got here and i was asked if i would drive this stuff to a train station...NO, i will not, CASH only please, NO shipping will be offered as of 2am on 1-18-2011, it must be paid for in cash before it goes anywhere, no other form of payment will be accepted. I am not near a major hiway or loading dock, theres no access to the 1930 Ford by Semi or tractor trailer so shipping appears NOT to be an option anyway. Please stop asking for shipping quotes and delivery quotes and other shipping options...there are none. Questions should be directed towards the car itself and/or its condition. On Jan-18-11 at 14:59:30 PST, seller added the following information: this link will give you a better idea of what the parts look like: http://s141.photobucket.com/albums/r74/bigmiket1966/1930%20Model%20A%20Parts/On Jan-20-11 at 04:52:28 PST, seller added the following information: Im still getting emails asking if this is a "Rust Free" car and if it is "Dent Free" as well. NO, its not rust free/dent free, its over 80 yrs old, please look at the pictures and read the description. The floor is rusted and it shows that in one on the pictures, also the area at the bottom of the car, in front of the doors is rusted on both sides. I have no knowledge of what the previous owner/s did to or with the car when they had it. I have not gone thru this car with a fine tooth comb so i do not know the extent of the rust or dents. Please follow the link and view the extra pictures i have taken of the parts. This has no title. Please ask questions about it and i will do my best to answer them. Please do not assume anything, im not representing this car as perfect, im representing it as it is shown in the pictures. If you bid and win, please remember that it is a binding contract and you will be held to that. If you're feedback is low or your percentage is low, please contact me before you bid. Out of the country bidders kept asking me to pallet up all the parts and drive them to shipping terminals, i can not do that so i will not be accepting any out of country bids. This was stated in the auction revision on 1-18-2011. Sorry for all the revisions, i wish i didnt have to do this but there are to many people not reading the auction properly. To those of you who are reading it properly, thankyou very much and good luck with the bidding. On Jan-20-11 at 18:27:34 PST, seller added the following information:****I WAS ASKED IF THE WINDOWS WERE STILL IN THE DOORS AND IF THEY WORKED. I HAD NEVER LOOKED SO I WENT OVER AND CHECKED AND THE WINDOWS ARE THERE AND THEY ROLLED UP EASILY. THERE WAS NO JAMMING AT ALL, I WAS AMAZED THAT AN 80 YR OLD CAR (BODY) STILL HAD WORKING WINDOWS. IF YOU CLICK ON THE LINK IN ONE OF THE REVISIONS, IT WILL TAKE YOU TO MY PHOTOBUCKET ACCOUNT AND YOU'LL SEE THAT I ADDED PICTURES OF THE DOORS WITH THE WINDOWS ROLLED UP MOST OF THE WAY. I LEFT THEM IN THAT POSITION WHEN I TOOK THE PICTURES SO YOU COULD SEE THEM. IT WAS ALMOST TOTALLY DARK WHEN I TOOK THE PICTURES SO I JUST TURNED ON THE FLASH AND HOPED FOR THE BEST SHOT I COULD GET. THEY DONT APPEAR TO BE BROKE, BUT ITS PITCH DARK IN THE BUILDING WHERE THE CAR IS SITTING.On Jan-22-11 at 13:29:38 PST, seller added the following information: I have added 2 more pictures to the album i have with Photobucket. An Ebayer asked me how the rear section was where the rear fenders bolt to the body, he said the studs are always rusted out, they seemed pretty solid to me, but i'll let you be the judge by viewing the pictures. Please go to my photobucket account by clicking the link: http://s141.photobucket.com/albums/r74/bigmiket1966/1930%20Model%20A%20Parts/On Jan-23-11 at 09:40:51 PST, seller added the following information: This will be my last revision to this auction: Once again, I appreciate all the interest in this car from the people in Canada, Japan, etc.. BUT i cant and wont ship this car out of the US, i have been told that a car cant be shipped out of the US without a title and as the auction staes, there is no title. If it can be done its not easy and its not something i want to undertake. The car was made here in America and it will most likely stay in America if its at all possible. If i notice any bids from "out of the country" Ebayers, those bids will be cancelled. Thankyou Henry Ford for building these amazing cars i'll try to keep it right here in the country where you built it. Thankyou to all the Ebayers who are restoring these old cars and putting them back on the road. Remember...Restore 'em, dont crush 'em.
