Vehicle Detail

You are viewing a 1977 MG MGB. I have owned the car for about 7 years now and have made several modifications to the vehical since purchasing it. The intention was to have a fun convertible for the wife to drive that was reliable. Since my wife wasn't very good at driving stick shift, I decided to convert it over to an automatic. I also wasn't a fan of the original motor (not enough power) so I swapped this out as well. All the interior was also ripped out and replaced with new soft leather. I also wanted A/C in the car so this was added, however I never got around to converting this to the new motor so only the fan and vents are hooked up. I will list everything I can remember about the car below. The only reason we are selling the vehical is that we just had a new baby and we need a four door instead. This car is still located in Indiana and we moved to Washington about 5 years back. We kept this car at my parents to have something to drive when we come into town. It is really a fun car, but does have some minor issues as anything 30 years old will have. The restoration was about 95% complete before I moved. The engine only has about 3,000 miles on it since the conversion. Here are all the details: 1977 MG MGB Convertable 2.8 V6 Crate engine from 1984 camero (3,000 miles) 700R Transmission Shifter and linkage from 1989 Ford Mustang ( I belive, can't remember) 2 sets of Wheels. (1 full set of Chrome wire wheels are included) These were about $1,000 dollars alone. New Interior New Dash True Duel Exhaust (glass packs had to used due to clearance...car is loud) Original Emission Equipment still on and passes Emissions in INDIANA (similiar to CA emissions) Custom Hi-Flow Radiator Duel Engine fans to reduce heat Custom Driveshaft NO RUST ON UNDERSIDE OF CAR (Belive it was coaded with something previously) Newer top CD Player I know there is a ton of information I am forgetting but this is what I can remember now. You might also be interested to know that no cutting or body modifications were done to install the engine or trans. It can be converted back to the orginal engine and trans if desired. I used a kit from MGB V6 Conversions and paperwork will be included. Below are the known issues that will need to be addressed to finish the car off: 1. Needs weatherstripping around doors 2. Needs back carpet Mat 3. Brake fluid leaked down the master cyliner and discolored the paint inside the engine compartment on that side 4. Speed/Odometer not hooked up due to the engine conversion. (New gauges would be easiest) 5. Small nicks in the paint shown in the pictures 6. A few small rust bubbles under the paint towards the bottom of the car(in pictures, very minor) 7. Need a plate to make the shifter and console look nice This is all I can think of right now. Bottom line, if you want a fun, reliable, and very minor project this is the way to go. I have done my best to discribe the car as accurate as possible. If you have any questions, please send me an email and I will respond ASAP. If you would like to view the car, please let me know and it will be arranged. The Car is located in GARY, Indiana. My dad can show the car and I welcome anyone to check out the car before bidding. Thanks for looking and good lock. Lastly, I can ship the car, but you must arrange the shipping details.
