Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is my 1978 Chevy Blazer mud truck, The truck is a 1978 Chassis with a 1981 Arizona body, Virtualy rust free. I built this truck to be used as an off road rig and it does quite well with that as well as going down the road pretty nicely to. I can say that there are only 2 rust spots on the body and there was a rusted out rocker panel but I fixed that when I purchased the truck. One of the spots is under the cap on the drivers side bed rail and the other is on the bottom rear corner of the drivers door. Both very easilly fixable. The truck is very solid and has a pretty good fiberglass cap, the cap could use some cleaning up but it is solid. Also the cap needs new seals around the back of the roof line area, slight leak when it gets rained on hard. The paint on the body was done on the cheap to make it not such an eye sore where I used to have it parked so some of it is poping off in a few places and is just showing the brown oxide primer under it, not rust. Like I said the truck is built to be used off road but it could be cleaned up and re painted nice to be a show queen if you want. The drive train in the truck consists of a 454 big block chevy engine with about 25,000 miles on it, it was out of a 1979 chevy one ton pickup that was wrecked and the engine was re-built by GM just before the truck was wrecked. It has a Turbo 400 trans mated up to it which needs to be either re-built of just be cleaned out real good, 1-2 shift is strong but the 2-3 shift is pretty hard to feel. The trans has a B&M torque converter in it set for 2200 stall. The transfer case in the truck is an NP203 which has the Mile Marker part time shift kit in it, so it has 2 wheel HI and LO range as well as 4HI and 4LO, case works good. The axles are a Dana 60 Chevy King Pin style in front with 4:56 gears and an open diff, and I put on dodge Dana 60 hubs for the outer mount style hub lockouts which are brand new as well. The rear axle is a Corporate 14 bolt full floater with 4:56 gears, Detroit Locker and a disc brake conversion kit installed. The amount of lift on the truck is about 10 inches total. The tires on the truck are 39.5x13.50x16.5 Super Swamper Irok Bias Ply tires with only 200 miles on them and most of the mileage was put on off road. The fuzz is still on the treads. I bought this truck in partially completed form from a really good friend to build as a project and it has been my project for the last 12 years and I just don't have the time to play with it or use it like it should be used anymore with 2 small children and so many of the fun places to wheel here by me closing up. So I am only the 2nd owner of this truck and I hope that whoever gets it now will be able to use it to it's full advantage. The combination of the big block engine and the gears in the axles makes this thing a lot of fun to drive and play with in the mud, It will sling mud 30 or 40 feet in the air and keep on movin. As far as how to pay for this truck I will Accept Cash on pickup or I will accept pay pal and that is it. I also have a bunch of spare or extra parts that are going with the truck like another 203 transfer case and another set of axle shafts for the rear axle and a bunch of other odds and ends. I am also going to sell seperate from the truck a NP 205 transfer case that I have as well as a Dana 60 Cross over steering kit that I bought and never had the chance to put on my Blazer. I will sell both of those items for 400 bucks or 200 for the case and 300 for the steering kit if you don't want them both. But I will only take cash in hand when you pick up the truck if you want them. Also I will not ship the truck it is a Local pickup only deal. If you want the truck Shipped you will have to make the arrangements. Thanks for bidding and good luck. P.S. I am sure I have forgoten a few items in the description but if you have any questions please feel free to shoot me an E-Mail. I also have the truck up for sale locally as well so I have the right to end the auction early if it sells.
