Vehicle Detail

We take trades, Please call Brad for questions or an appointment to see the car: 386-503-9364 We are very proud to present to you this spectacularly restored 1959 Austin Healey 100/6. This vehicle has had a very extensive body off restoration by the previous owner of more than 30 years. Resembleing the Factory Works rally cars driven to many wins as they flashed through European mountain roads driven by the likes of Pat Moss. This stunning example pays homage to those great cars while retaining the drivability and comfort the big Healeys are known for. This car was restored using slightly flared aluminum fenders and a louvered hood imported from England. It has 15" Panasport wheels with scripted 3 eared knock-offs wrapped in New BF Goodrich TA Touring tires sized 185-70-15. A new Nardi wood steering wheel compliments the interior . Most bright work was replaced and is excellent. The interior was replaced and is in very good to excellent condition. The paint is exceptional with very few, barely noticeable surface scratches and a small blemish below the front grill. It has been garaged and used very sparingly since the restoration was completed. Everything works as it should on this car. The lights, gauges and wiring all work properly. The transmission shifts smoothly through a very solid clutch. The overdrive works perfectly. The brakes operate as they should and were recently serviced. The engine idles well and pulls strong. A compression test showed #1- 150, #2- 150, #3-155, #4-155, #5-155, #6-155. The engine is numbers matching. It has been converted to negative ground, and has an electronic ignition to enhance driveability. There are no rust issues with this car. It has a tonneau cover and a brand new top, top bows, and side curtains. (these items having been lost in a move some time back.) Having owned E-types, Vintage Corvettes, Porsches, Vipers, etc. No car generates the interest, thumbs-up, and outright envy as this one does. Whether you leave it as is (I would) or restore this solid example to stock, it will be a great addition to any collection or the basis for a new one. On Nov-16-10 at 08:35:31 PST, seller added the following information: Car has been garaged in South Florida for the last 30+ years by the same owner.
