Vehicle Detail
***NOTE: The 18" wheels seen in the pics are NOT part of this auction. The 18" X 8" 2004 Pontiac GXP wheels have been replaced them with the original 15" Reatta wheels. The finish on these original Reatta wheels is in poor shape. Please consider this when bidding If you would like the 18" wheels and tires I can include them for an extra $600, which is less than I paid for just the wheels. Otherwise, the 18" wheels will be sold in a separate auction.*** This auction is for my 1990 custom Buick Reatta. I had high hopes for this project but have since moved on to others. Here's the custom work I've done: I removed all body side moldings and filled in the holes to create a smoother look to the car. I removed the same trim from the front and rear bumpers and wrapped fiberglass cloth around them and used filler to create a smoother look. I added a spoiler to the lower front bumper. It's epoxied on and made of wood. It wasn't meant to be permanent. I planned on taking molds of the finished front and rear bumpers, but I never quite finished either the front or rear to the point that they could be molded. The wooden piece is attached pretty well with epoxy and I have driven the car with it on. The car is the only known lowered Reatta in existence. I spent $400 lowering the rear using a custom metal leaf spring to replace the factory composite rear spring. I spent a similar amount on the front getting and installing custom coil springs. The car sits about 1.75" lower than stock. After getting the front lowered, it seems there is some slight interference somewhere that I haven't been able to track down. It is still drivable, but you can feel a bit of harshness from the front. The car runs and drives fine. It's high mileage and leaks a bit of oil, but I had planned to swap in a supercharged engine so I really didn't car about the miles. The interior is pretty much shot. All other pertinent details are given in the questionnaire answers below. Any Accident History? No Paint Original? No. Originally red--repainted medium gray about two years ago. Paint Condition?
