Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1967 Buick Grand Sport, a beautiful muscle car. It came from the factory with a 340cu in engine, but has a 350cu in it with a cracked block. This vehicle has been in protected inside storage since 1977. I joined the Marines in 1976 and left the states in 1977, that is when I put the car in storage This is a nice project car for the Grand Sport fan who is looking for a rare find. I do not have the money to or time to give this car the restoration it deserves, so I am letting it go to someone who will appreciate it and can restore it. It has been sitting for 33 years and was only 10 years old when it was parked . The pictures show the body and interior is in very good condition, you can see there is a little surface rust above the right rear tire and on the front of the hood. There is a small ding on the left rear quarter panel. All defects on the car can be repaired and no body panels will need to be replaced the car is very solid. In 1967, Buick added a 340" version named the Gran Sport 340. Less than 3,700 were sold. There were two colors available - white or silver. The 1967 GS 340 was one of the lowest produced Grand Sports in Buick history, which makes this is a very rare and collectible car and will be worth a lot of money when restored. Shipping will not be provided and it is being sold as is.On Jan-05-11 at 14:27:46 PST, seller added the following information: The vehicle is located in West Harrison, IN 47060. On Jan-05-11 at 15:32:00 PST, seller added the following information: I had a mechanic tell me that the freeze plug is blown and the engine block may not be cracked, so this engine (350cu in Buick) may be able to be repaired. The floor pans, trunk, and frame are solid. The previous owner put a lower geared rear end in the car, not sure the exact rear end it is a 4xx but it made the car really really fast. On Jan-06-11 at 12:46:36 PST, seller added the following information: Additional pictures added. Pictures show there are two small spots that are rusted through behind the rear wheel wells. Both spots are very repairable, all other rust is minor surface rust. All emblems for vehicle are included. If the auction goes above $4,000, I can include a 350cu in Buick engine, from a 1972 Buick. I have not turned the engine over and do not know exactly what will need to be done to get it running, but it had 43,000 miles on it when stored. As shown in the pictures the interior is almost perfect, there is 1 small spot on the headliner above passenger rear seat that needs glued.
