Vehicle Detail

For sale is a 1965 Ford Mustang V8 3 speed manual. This car is in almost perfect condition, mechanically and body wise. As you can see, the car is very pleasing to the eye and the engine and drive train operates as good as it looks. This car is one of my weekend toys that I am selling only because my wife bought me a new toy for Christmas and I don't have anywhere to keep it. The car has always been kept indoors and will, as long as I own it. The car was completely stripped down, rust-protected, and painted. The stripes are even painted; they are not stick-on or vinyl. The only paint flaws are blisters not rust spots. The only things that are not operating properly are the roll-up windows and the heater blower motor. The plastic guides in the windows need replacing. You can still roll the windows up and down; however you will need to assist them to roll up and down. There are no issues with the engine, transmission, rear end, brakes or any other part of the car. This car was completed about 5 yrs ago. I purchased it from a friend that was in a financial bind about 2 yrs ago. I watched him put all of his money into the car and I know that it was done right; and that's the only reason why I bought it. It has manual steering, manual brakes (front) disc & (rear) drum, windows, and door locks. Every part used to put this car together was purchased new. I have most of all of the paperwork he kept while putting this car together. There is a photo journal of this car which he is trying to find as it was misplaced in a move. The only thing that was rebuilt was the motor. I believe the transmission and rear end are originally built. I want to say that the rear end gears have been replaced; because at 70 and 80 MPH on the hwy the engine is not taching high like most 3 speed cars. He won't tell me because that's one of his "so-called" building secrets. He has a thing about proving that it doesn't matter how many gears you change; just what the ending gear ratio is. So this is his reasoning for going back with the original 3 speed vs. 4 or 5 speed. It drives so good, that's why I didn't change it. We all know that 4 or 5 speed seem to be cooler, but after driving this one; you wouldn't change it either. Car is sold "As Is". I advise everyone to always inspect prior to bidding or purchasing anything that you have not seen. I will accept cash, certified check, or bank draft. I have a clear title in hand. The car will not be released until PAID IN FULL. Will assist with shipping, but not responsible. Car can be driven anywhere.
