Vehicle Detail
Very nice 1993 Dodge 2500 Diesel for sale. This truck was ordered new with the Super -LE Advantage package (have original window sticker) and was $28,338.00 new. It was ordered with every option available at the time and has been very well maintained. There is a whole booklet of receipts (over 2” thick) for pretty much everything that it has needed over the last 18 years. The body is in very good condition with NO RUST or rut anywhere that I can find. New, it was shipped to Worthington Dodge in Carlsbad, CA and has spent most of its life in So. California and has not been exposed to the salt in the Midwest. The paint is shiny and waxes nicely (most all of these old Dodges are faded and missing clear coat). I am sure it has been re-done at some time in the past but it is the original two tone color as per the window sticker. I have owned it for 6 months and have always kept in inside and not even driven it in the rain or snow. These are getting harder and harder to find especially in this condition. Mechanically, the truck is in top-notch shape. It has 235,000 miles and doesn’t appear to ever have been really worked hard. I pulled a car trailer once with it and it did fine and the guy that owned it before me never towed anything. It has a class 3 trailer hitch with 7 round wiring and a brake controller installed if you want to pull a trailer. There doesn’t appear to ever have had a gooseneck or fifth wheel installed. After I bought it, I had the front seals done just because I don’t like oil leaks. I installed new rotors and pads and changed the fluids. There is a 3 ring binder full of receipts and maintenance work that was done. The trans was rebuilt in 2005 (less than 40,000 miles ago) with top of line, heavy duty parts used with a receipt for $3,933.52. A quick look through the receipts and I was well over $10,000. Flipping through the receipts, some of the highlights are injection pump, fuel pump, water pump, trans, Banks system, oil changes, etc. It has a full BANKS power pack (over $3,000) with all working gauges including a tach, egt, turbo boost, water temp, and trans temp gauges. At one time there was a cracked fuel tank fitting so rather than the fitting being replaced, a new 60 gallon Aero tank was installed ($700.00). The original owner spared no expense in keeping this truck in tip top shape. I wouldn’t hesitate to get in and drive it anywhere in the country and back. The lights all work as does the power windows, locks, mirrors, 4x4, cruise, aftermarket CD player, and wipers. The a/c blows ice cold and the heat blows blazing hot if you choose. It has a $1000 topper on it with e-track inside for securing loads. It comes with the Alcoa aluminum wheels and Bridgeston V-steel LT245/75/16 tires with around 5000 miles or less on them. I do have a set of original steel wheels with no hub caps if you are interested for an extra price. I personally like the Alcoa’s myself and think they add a lot to the look. The interior is nice with no rips or tears. It is a little dirty just from use but would clean up nicely. I took a bunch of pictures but ebay will only let me post 24. Here is a link to the rest: http://rides.webshots.com/album/579372480JbEerz?vhost=rides Fly in and drive this one home. Like I said, I would take it anywhere, anywhere with complete confidence. 1st Generation Dodges like this normally bring top dollar and this one has the history and the looks to prove its quality. It will sell with NO RESERVE to the high bidder so bid to win! $200 paypal deposit due within 48 hours of auction end and full payment in cash and pickup within 7 days unless other arrangements are made prior to the end of the auction. Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask, I have nothing to hide. On Jan-03-11 at 08:01:47 PST, seller added the following information: Someone did ask about the fuel tank/gauge. The tank was upgraded to an Aero tank which mounts in the stock location. It uses the stock fill neck and the stock fuel gauge reads accurately as well.
