Vehicle Detail

1979 Pontiac Trans Am. Rebuilt 403c.i. engine, backed by a auto trans with factory rachit shifter, and posi trac rearend. Car runs strong with over 350hp at the rear wheels and always holds good oil pressure. Car is done in black with no decals. For 325.00 extra I can add screaming chicken and Trans Am logos in whatever color is available from Phoenix Graphics.(Silver, Gold, Red, Blue) The paint and body are very nice and very straight. Paint has a excellent shine with a nice smooth finish. Car is also equipped with T-tops, power locks, and power windows. Interior shows very well with new; seats covers, door panels, window felts, dome light, and dash cap. The rest of the interior is original and shows nice. All interior and exterior lights work. Doors shut and hang excellent with no sagging or catching. New exterior door handles. All weather stripping is in very good condition. Car has no major rust issues. Meaning no rust in floors, frame, or body. Car does have a few negatives though. No A/C, shaker scoop is attached to the hood. Reason why cause intake and carb was changed during engine rebuild and had to be converted. Factory Temp. and Oil pressure gauge are inop. After market Temp and Oil pres. at the front of the consol work. Speedo is off and sporadic sometimes. Has to do with were the speedo cable plugs into the speedo itself. Power locks are a little stiff and slow. This isn't a 18k to 20k PHS documented show car. But it is a nice daily driver car and a lot of toy for the money. This car would be great for someone who is willing to sacrifice a little originality for horse power. Most Trans Am this era are slow this one runs strong and always starts. I drove it everyday for a month when I was inbetween cars and had no problems. For any questions or to view the car please contact me at (573)434-9001.
