Vehicle Detail

For sale is a spectacularly restored 1972 International Harvester Scout II. Prior to my owning of this vehicle it had been in the original family which purchased it brand new. It has its original 345 V8, which starts/runs very smoothly along with the 3 speed automatic transmission. The mileage listed (100,000) is not accurate, the actual mileage is unknown. 4x4 operates great. The original Warn winch is included. The fluids and battery are all within a month old. This truck spent most of its early years in New Mexico. This really is one of the cleanest (virtually rust free) Scouts you will come across. Every time I have it serviced I receive compliments on how clean the undercarriage is. Like any/all Internationals, there is some superficial rust here and there, but none on painted surfaces, as you can see in my photos. To the winner, I also will include the original owner's manual and any/all existing service records from the original owner, which date back to September 1990 (pictured in the last photo, said records laid out on table.... over 20 years worth is not bad!) This particular truck was fully restored not quite 2 years ago. Restorations include, but are not limited to: -Fully refurbished interior -CD/MP3 player with new speakers -Roll bar -Yakima roof rack -Custom steel rear bumper -Custom paint job (after any/all rust was removed from body and replaced with new steel, not simply patched with Bondo) -Custom chrome wheels -Undercarriage rust protection *This vehicle is being sold AS IS and everything in the photographs is included with the sale. *The buyer assumes all responsibility for shipping and/or pick up. This is not a truck that you want to let get away. I would not be parting with this beloved prize if I were not a United States service member, having to move quite frequently. It is no longer practical for me to ship it across the country every couple of years and it is too beautiful to let sit in storage... It is not hard to see the value in this rare beast! Please feel free to email me with any questions. On Dec-31-10 at 09:43:53 PST, seller added the following information: *Upon further inspection, small bubbles evident on lip of left rear wheel well. This has not broken the surface of the paint. Please contact me with any questions or for further information.
