Vehicle Detail
I apologize for my pictures of the bike. It started snowing as I took these pictures. I bought this CL450 from a guy this summer and it has been at my backyard mechanic ever since. I picked it up a week ago. The front brakes or the front wheel was turned around and I did not get a chance to fix it. My mechanic fixed the carbs (I bought two carb kits, one [or two] oem float, two rubber boots, and a few other small parts like a used rectifier or something. I would like to fix up the bike properly but I need the cash and figure someone else can fool with it. I cannot remember everything I bought anymore. Everything else looks to be original and in the rough. It was stored outside under a tarp when I bought it. He told me it ran and that he rode it up an down the street a few times but the carbs needed to be cleaned. He wasn't kidding. The gas tank looked nicer when I bought it but my mechanic tried to clean it out with some acid solution and then soaked it in water to clean out the solution. The inside of the tank must have been coated once before but we were not sure so we coating it again. The gas lines got clogged up (I think he had to cut them to unclogg them) and the tank leaks so I bought another used tank. I will give the used gas tank to whoever buys the motorcycle. The tank I bought is real clean on the inside but will need to be fixed up on the outside. I was going to paint the tank but winter has set in and I do not have a good place to paint it. It has one dent that could be easily pulled out (or blown out) and a couple of other dings that could use a little bondo. I can take a picture and add it later on if someone wants to see it. The rubber boots I bought off ebay. I think they are oem. I did not buy the clips that hold them on. There is 16,275 miles on the speedometer. Everything needs to be cleaned up on the bike (it is too cold up here to do any cleaning and I do not have a garage to work in). The seat has a few tears and will need to have a new cover put on. I believe the lights, cables, and brakes all work but I forgot to ask my mechanic to make sure they all worked. My mechanic said it is running good but I never heard it run or drove it myself. I am almost 100 percent sure that the brakes work good. I told him to make sure to do a good job on the carbs. I am not sure if he drained the carb bowls or ran it out of gas for the winter. The end of one of the tailpipes is broke or rusted off (look at the picture). The rest of the pipes are in good shape. There is one bolt that holds one of the side covers or air filter on that he made. I have not really looked at the bike much so please look at the pictures and ask me question if you have any. Like I said, it started snowing when I was taking the pictures so it is covered up for now. The tires were in good shape. I do not know if they are original. When I was moving the bike I noticed that the seat was not properly attached so it might be missing a pin or maybe it is not bolted down. I do not remember if it has the tool kit (probably not). This is a nice vintage collectable CL450 Honda that will be a nice project for someone who wants to properly restore it. Or it could be a nice motorcycle to ride around town with. That is all I can think of for now. The title is from Iowa and is ready to be signed by the new owner. I do not do business on Sunday so I am available for pick up any other day of the week. No Sunday pick ups. I will make time to be home any other day of the week. NO ZERO BIDDERS OR SCAMMERS. I sold a bike earlier this year to zero bidder who kept putting me off until it was too late for me to get my 60.00 dollar listing fee back. He never picked up the bike. I will not let that happen again. If you are going to bid on this bike I want cash upon pick up. Please do not waste my time trying to scam me, it won't happen. I am willing to work with someone on shipping. I am very familiar with the different scams out there. The last time zero bidders bid on one of my bikes I got rid of their bids and blocked them.
