Vehicle Detail
The car was built by Nash Motors as a lower priced model and very few survive today. This is the first year of production and the only year that had the three doors in the hood sides. This is being sold as a (Street Rod) project. Build a “Dare To Be Different” street rod. It is a roller with the 400 Small Block Chevy engine and TH350 transmission setting in the chassis (not mounted). The body is a Semen’s composite, meaning the sheet metal is supported by a hardwood frame. Much of the wood will need to be replaced as it has rotted in places; I planned to use steel box tubing as it would be stronger, lighter, and easier to install. The sheet metal is in overall good condition for a 76 year old car as it has been stored inside most of the 25+ years I have owned it. The running boards are both rusted through where the steel backed mat was attached. It is a fairly flat area that will be easy to patch. The right front fender has some minor damage behind the wheel and both front fenders are cracked at the edge over the center of the wheels. The grill is in good condition except for a little damage around the crank hole. I have 2 sets of headlight buckets and all 4 have the trim pieces. I also have the headlight support bars that attach to the fenders and grill. I have one pair of headlight lenses that are near mint condition. A sheet of aluminum is pop riveted over the hole in the roof. There is no interior upholstery, garnish moldings or seats in the car. There are 2 inside door handles, 3 door window cranks and the handles for the 2 rear windows. All 4 outside door handles are on the doors. A large section of the firewall has been cut out and the floor is missing. The dash is complete with the instrument cluster and glove box door. There is a small rectangular section cut from the bottom edge to the left of the steering wheel where it looks like someone had a radio mounted. It will not be difficult to weld in a patch. I also have the one vent door for the left side of the hood that is missing in the pictures. The rear axle in the car is an early Olds or Buick. Over the years I have continued to collect parts and make plans for the build after retirement. Health issues now force me to sell the project. I am selling this as a collection of parts and I have NO TITLE. Purchaser is responsible for picking up the vehicle and parts. If you have any questions please ask before you bid. Below is a list of the major parts I have collected that will be included (sorry I don’t have pictures of all of them); · 400 CID Small Block Chevrolet o Edelbrock Intake Manifold o Holley 750 Carburetor o GM Chrome Air Cleaner o HEI Distributer o 350 HP Cam & Lifters o Block Hugger Headers – New o Chevrolet Chrome Valve Covers – GM New w/Box · TH-350 Turbo Transmission (2) – 1 Used & 1 Needs Rebuild · TH-700R4 Turbo Transmission (2) – Needs Rebuild · 72 Dodge Challenger Torsion Bar Front Suspension · Corsica Power Rack & Pinion · GM Tilt Steering Column (2) · 1 Pr. ’76 Camaro Spindles with Disc Brakes · ’88 S10 Rear End · S10 Rear Leaf Springs - pair · Cadillac Seville Rear End w/ Disc Brakes · New 4” Dia.
