Vehicle Detail
Hello, up for auction is my fathers unfinished project acquired in this condition about ten years ago. This scout was originally a 6 cylinder with A/C that has been replaced with a 304,rebuilt (that I’ve been told) V8, This scout has had v8 engine mounts tack welded into place and the 6 mounts cut out but this also needs to be completed. The body except the R front fender is in great shape and no detectible rust in the rear fenders (typical problem with scouts). The rear floors do have some rust shown in pics but all the floors feel solid , have seen a small rust problem in the right windshield post next to hood and the top has been repaired at the L rear. This Scout originally was a half cab but previous owner salvaged a full top, good rear seat and had the whole rig painted almost 30 years ago. As can be seen in pics it has had aftermarket lift springs installed onto the original axles, Front is dana 30 W drums. Most of the parts are there to complete engine changeover but the carb and the exhaust system is missing(have manifolds). The A/C evaporator, fan, hoses are intack, only missing compressor. This Scout would be great for a restoration project ! I hope I have disclosed all the defects and positves but this is no afternoon fix and go wheelin type of project.I must have a $400 deposit into paypal upon biding close by winner and the remaining paid upon p/u of scout (within 2 weeks) or forfeit deposit and this scout gets relisted .Good communication goes along way with me and I am VERY flexible about it getting picked up. Thank you for looking at my auction and good luck bidding!! Scott
