Vehicle Detail
I'm bought this '08 Ford Taurus almost 3 years ago with 5k miles, it has 29900 miles now. Immediately after I bought it I put a 7 year - 100,000 mile Ford Extend Service Plan 'PremiumCare' transferable warranty on it for $1,800. This is the best extended warranty Ford gives, and it's transferable to the buyer for a nominal fee, I believe it's $50. Rest assured this car is warranty covered by Ford to the fullest extent possible. I am only selling it as I just bought a new SUV. NADA Guides values it at $16,900 and Kelly Blue Book values it at $16,040; neither of these include the extended warranty which I estimate to be worth $1,200, as the car is still covered for another 70,000 miles or another 3.5 years. It has a very small scar on the front bumper from rolling into another car, and a tiny, tiny driver's door ding from when I bought it. Some of it's standard features are 4 wheel disc ABS brakes, a new 3.5L 263 HP V6, front and side air bags, and Anti-Theft Engine Immobilizer. Some of it's factory options are Leather seats, dual climate zone, power driver's seat, premium audiophile sound system with 6 MP3/CD changer, and Keyless Entry keypad. This past spring I had the windows tinted, which dramatically cooled down the interior; some of the pictures were taken before the tinting. The tires have very even wear and I'd guess about 20,000 miles left on them. It also has a Keyless Entry keypad and Anti-Theft Engine Immobilizer. I have all maintenance records including regular oil changes and tire rotations. New rear brakes were put on just a couple weeks ago. Please check my excellent eBay feedback including another personal automobile sell last year. Here are some excerpts about the 2008 Taurus from Edmunds.com: "The 2008 Ford Taurus gains a number of improvements as part of its return. Under that familiar Five Hundred sheet metal are much improved running gear and additional features. In fact, Ford says there are more than 500 changes." "A 263-hp V6 replaces the 203-hp V6, and a more responsive six-speed automatic replaces the continuously variable transmission (CVT)." "Antilock disc brakes and traction control are standard, as are front side- and full-length side curtain airbags." "Crash testing by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration returned perfect five-star ratings across the board, making the 2008 Ford Taurus one of the safest cars on the road." "Fuel economy is rated at 18 city and 28 highway for the front-wheel-drive Taurus." "The Taurus features a handsome and functional cabin with solid materials quality, plenty of storage areas and eight cupholders. Legroom is plentiful in both the front and rear and a tall seating position should both please those used to SUVs and make for easier ingress/egress." "The 21-cubic-foot trunk is massive (bigger than the Crown Victoria) and the Taurus' 60/40-split rear bench and front passenger seat fold flat, allowing items up to 9 feet in length to be transported inside the car." "There were also great pains taken to make the Taurus quieter, and those who equate silence with quality should be pleased."
