Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 You are looking at a meticulously restored matching numbers AH3000 MK3 BJ8 , one of the last of the big Healeys. The car is finished in two tone black over silver with a gray leather interior. 60 spoke stainless steel Dayton rims with brand new rubber. This elegant beast is incredibly fast and sounds great, it turns heads every were you go. Just turn the key and go !!!!I have owned this car for 28 years (car has never seen rain or snow) A ground up off the frame restoration was started in 1986. The car was completely dismantled down to the rails. The car was media blasted ( baking soda not sand )any rusted panels or frame members were replaced. New inner and outer sills both sides, outriggers both sides, new floor pans and rear quarters. The frame and body panels were primed in epoxy paint . The body panels were painted and 5 coats of clear were applied $14,000 in paint alone, At that point I ran out of money. The rolling body came back to my garage along with twenty or so boxes of parts. The unfinished restoration sat till 2005.I shipped the car and the twenty boxes of parts to Healey Surgeons of Takoma Park, Maryland. The restoration was completed in about 7 months. Rebuilt trans, clutch, brakes, shocks, new wiring harness the lists goes on and on. I have over $58,000 into this car,Receipts for the complete restoration, the paint, body work, and mechanical work are available for review. The motor was taken out as part of dismantle, however it was so strong, to save a few bucks the motor was put back in tuned up and Bobs your uncle, it goes like a bat out of Hell. It smokes a little when you pull the choke out and the head gadget seeps some oil. There are 80,000 original miles on the motor. The car has been driven about 2500 miles since it was finished. I really love this car , but my daughter is getting married and I need the cash. Cars like this sell for $50,000 to $65,000. I will consider any reasonable offer. I have a car carrier and can deliver the car in NJ, NY, PA or Conn.
