Bidders with less than five positive feedbacks - please contact me prior to bidding. When I purchased this Fiat it was in running condition but had a blown head gasket. After removing the head, I considered it only made sense to remove the engine also. The block will need blasting and repainting. The car has 111k and was running smoothly accept for the head leak. I have spoken with a local Fiat factory technician who quoted me under $1000 for the block and head rebuild. I cannot guarantee it but the internals are very likely to be within factory specification and so should only require a cylinder honing and new rings. When the car was running the guages and lights were all working as they should. The '82 is arguably the best year for the Fiat Spyder - it has the 5-speed, fuel injection and power windows. The tires are near new. The soft top is fair - has a crack in the rear panel. The paint and body look great and the interior is intact with no rips. This is a California car and has a very clean, virtually rust free underside. All removed parts are neatly stored in boxes and none of them are missing. The cylinder bores are very smooth with no scoring. As a lot of the work has already been done, this will make a very easy restoration project and once rebuilt, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing first hand the true condition of everything under the hood plus you'll have a fast-appreciating classic sports car. I hate to sell the car but I am forced to as I need the money for a house. I have described the car as honestly and as accurately as possible. Please contact me if you have any questions.
