UP FOR AUCTION IS A 1965 PONTIAC GTO. IT WAS AN ORIGINAL 389 TRIPOWER WITH A 4 SPEED. IT NOW HAS NO MOTOR OR TRANSMISSION. UP INTIL ABOUT A YEAR AGO THIS CAR WAS SITTING IN A BARN FOR 20 PLUS YEARS.THE PICTURES TELL THE STORY. THE CAR NEEDS SOME WORK BUT IS STILL ALL THERE. PLUS IT'S A RARE ORIGINAL 389 TRIPOWER CAR. PLUS A 4 SPEED. AS YOU'LL SEE IN THE PICS THAT IT HAS RUST AROUND WINDSHIELD, LOWER 1/4s, A LITTLE ON THE LOWER FENDERS,FLOORBOARDS, LOWER DOOR CORNERS, AND A FEW HOLES IN THE TRUCK FLOOR. THE INTERIOR NEEDS COMPLETLY RESTORED BUT AT LEAST THE BUCKET SEATS ARE THERE. TRY TRACKING A PAIR OF THOSE DOWN. CAR HAS A GOOD CLEAN OHIO TITLE. VIN NUMBER IS 237275P278029 AT SOME POINT THE VIN TAG FROM THE DASH WAS LOST. WE HAD THE BMV RUN THE VIN DOWN TO MAKE SURE ALL WAS GOOD. THEY SAID IT WAS GOOD TO GO. YOU CAN GET A NEW VIN PLATE FROM THE BMV OR A RESTORATION COMPANY IF YOU SHOW THEM THE TITLE. ALL THE OTHER NUMBERS ON THE CAR ARE ALL STILL THERE. THIS CAR WAS BOUGHT TO RESTORE BUT TIME AND MONEY ARE NOT ON MY SIDE. THESE CARS ARE GETTING HARD TO FIND IN ANY CONDITION. TRY GOING OUT AND FINDING AN UNRESTORED 389 TRIPOWER 4 SPEED GTO. OR CALL THEM AT 330-238-1921 On Dec-10-10 at 15:38:21 PST, seller added the following information: I've had tons of questions about "how" I know it's a 4 speed and tri power GTO. This is the way the car was bought. I have included pictures of the paperwork the car was bought with. I've had people look at it and say "Yes, it's a four speed, tri power car." And I've had people say "No, it's not even a real GTO.". The title says GTO and from what I can read, this build sheet information makes it a GTO. I'm unable to decifer anything else from this paperwork. If anyone else has this information, let me know. I'm not trying to mis describe this car in any way. I'm just stating what I was told. This is why I posted the vin so all buyers would be able to do their own research. If the posted paperwork makes anyone want to retract their bid, do so.
