1986 Mercedes Benz 560SL Convertible "Re-listing due to high bidder financing fell through, please bid with financing approved or cash in hand ready to buy. I lowered the reserve substantially....bid to win!!!" Beautiful anthracite grey mettalic iconic R107 Chassis Mercedes Benz 560SL with blue grey leather interior. This car model run lasted 18years debuting in 1972. The 86' came equipped with a 5.6L V8 engine that is good for 227HP and 279lb torque. This year with no question was the most reliable bullet proof production run of them all. Standard Equipment included Drivers side airbag, abs brakes, lovely burlwood accents, power mirror, and adjustable seating. This car offers an upgraded Sony sound system as well as a in-dash CD player, power antenna, power dual windows, cruise control, alloy wheels which I had recently re-finished and M-B premium floor mats. The car has seen 2-owners previously from new to 91' and from 91'-2010. It has been garage kept all it's life and it truly shows from the clean undercarriage to the cabin to the mettalic paint. The color combination on this car is unremarkable and I get compliments on it all the time! The mettalic paint is original and has never been repainted or in an accident. The body is in very good condition for it's age due to be stored winters, however one small spot of bubbling appeared on the hood about 2inches long but it hasn't spread or got any worse. The interior has no stains or odors and the seats have zero rips or tears. All power options are in working condition. The A/C and Heat are in operating condition as well as the climate control switches. The Dunlop tires are in good overall condition with plenty of tread left and are very quiet and smooth down the road. The brakes seem to be good and do not shimmy when applying pressure even when exiting off the highway. This car truly shines on the road, it drives beauitifuly at all speeds with no vibrations or shimmy in the wheel once so ever! It does not burn oil when you accelerate and it shifts smoothly through all gears and you can bearly notice it! The car features a black soft-top which is in good condition overall with no fading or ripples. The only imperfection in the soft top is a slight 1inch tear which is hardly noticable in the plastic but i'm being very picky. The car also comes with a Mercedes hard-top painted to match from the factory which is in very good condition. The hard top was rarely used however it's nice for fall and winter months, but the car was always kept inside over winters so the top got stored as well. You can drive this car anywhere with no issues, I have enjoyed this vehicle and I'm passing on the vehicle at a great deal to anyone who is seriously interested. I no longer have room for toys in my storage due to growing winter interests. I have all maintenance reccords including routine synthetic oil change receipts to go with the sale of the car as well as the original oweners manual.
