2003 Passat W8 Sport Sedan Up for auction is my rare 2003 Passat W8 Sedan. Car is White with Tan leather interior. Has all top-of-the-line Volkswagen features. Beautiful leather interior, HID headlights, CD, tiptronic transmission, Volkswagen 4Matic AWD, etc. Car has 86,850 miles and is a rust-free Florida car. **NEW** Tiptronic transmission was installed by Volkswagen around June of 2009 and has very low mileage. Had close to $2,000 of suspension work done by Volkswagen around March of 2009. Control arms, bushings, etc. The car handles like a dream and is very rare. I get questions everywhere asking what a W8 is. I think in the years that I've owned this car I have only seen two others on the road. What She Needs A few months ago the car began to have a rough idle. I took it into the shop and the car was diagnosed as needing the cam adjusters replaced. This isn't something I really wanted to do, so my loss is your gain. If you do the research, you will see it is a pretty big job to get the adjusters replaced but there are ways around it if you are willing to do a little work. I think it needs a new battery, too. Its been sitting for a little while and I can't get it to start. It started and I drove it around my neighborhood after an oil change about 4-5 months ago. Tried it the other day and couldn't get it to turn over. The reserve is set low and I am willing to let this car go for cheap. It's been sitting around and its a shame to let such a great car sit around. Winner is responsible for shipping / picking the car up. I have a truck and trailer and may be willing to deliver within a reasonable distance for a small fee (diesel, etc) but don't count on it when bidding. I have driven it around my neighborhood a few times and it does drive but it idles very rough. I wouldn't plan on taking this for any long drives until the adjuster problem is fixed. The Volkswagen dealer suggested that I have it towed home from the shop after their diagnosis. This car is being sold AS IS.
