Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1965 Plymouth Belvedere 11, equipped with a 273 V-8, only 5000 miles + or- on the motor, professionally rebuilt in 1986 high heat valve seats were installed so it could run unleaded gas, automatic transmission, Power steering, power brakes. My grandfather purchased this vehicle brand new in 1965 it was his first and last new car he ever owned, as you can see it’s very clean for its age, I’ve had this vehicle in my possession since the 80’s and it’s been garaged since, It’s all original except for the 318 heads, the old ones where cracked up, bumpers have been re chromed, years ago while I was replacing the carpet, I cleaned and re sprayed the floor pans, inside the doors, below the back windows and trunk, (critical areas only) with paint and undercoating in order to protect the metal from rust, it’s never been in any major accidents, it’s really straight, only one spot where you’ll find body filler and it was a small scrape behind the rear tire, I have all the parts for the interior, I was going to have the wing window frames re chromed and just never put the door panels back on. Here’s some more information on this car, when all the work was being completed, I didn’t stop short, I know the parts where going to difficult find, here is list of parts that where replace in the 80’s The engine was completely rebuilt; the parts were new, Cam shaft, Lifters, Oil pump. Distributor, timing chain and gears, water pump, belts hoses thermostat, gas tank and float assembly, new door locks, trunk lock, weather stripping, front windshield, transmission mount , transmission was resealed with new gaskets and serviced, 14” tires still look brand new, it was also sanded down and re painted with the original enamel. As far as rust, there’s a tiny bit on the front fenders where the screws attach the molding below, penny size +or-, as far as the rest of the car, It’s pretty clean, as far as Hwy driving remember this car has been in the garage for a long time, I run it around the block now and then, and it’ gets started at least every couple of months, the car has never let the family down.
