up for sale is a 1963 ford fairlane 500 4 door sedan. Heres the story - built in 1963 in dearborn, mi. supposed to have a 221 cid. v8. I believe thats what is still in it as it is the original gold color, but it is missing the upper intake and carb and valve covers. the vehicle was originally mint green with turquise trim built april 24, 1963 supposed to have a cruise o matic transmission, but someone put in a manual trans. The trans is now missing, but there is a clutch pedal installed. the rear end is an 8" with a 3.20:1 gear set. that is all i know about the car, except that it has been in storage for approximately 22 years and prior to that was probably a hot rodded sedan. I say this because of the shade tree mechanic leaf spring extensions on the rear of the vehicle. It does have air shocks that do hold air, but if it were me, i would completely restore this vehicle pior to driving it anywhere. Another words the body is awesome, no thru hole rust anywhere and all the rockers, doors, fenders, etc are excellent. the whole vehicle is salmon red/ rust colored, but it could clean up nicely with minimal body work. it will need new radiator, trans, engine rebuilt, brake lines, fuel lines, etc. prior to ever running. All in all though it is an excellent vehicle that deserves to be rodded out, or restored. I acquired this vehicle as a trade for another vehicle I was selling a while ago. I am in the military though, and I just dont have time to play with it. Any questions please dont hesitate to ask! Also, there is a small crack in the windshield, and a rock chip. the rest of the glass in the vehicle is in good condition. if you would like other pictures of specific parts of the vehicle I will be glad to provide them.
