Vehicle Detail

1988 PONTIAC FIERO GT T-TOPS 4.9 V8 CONVERSION DREAM CAR I WILL CONSIDER PARTIAL TRADES AND CASH, AND REASONABLE OFFERS PLEASE READ COMPLETE DESCRIPTION. ALL THE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CAR IS LISTED HERE. PLEASE DO NOT BID WITHOUT READING THE COMPLETE DESCRITION. I WILL ONLY RESPOND TO EMAILS SENT DIRECTLY TO jackcastro2000@hotmail.com that include your contact information. This is to make sure I am dealing with serious buyers. Up for sale is my dream car that took 3 years to complete with over 25K invested. I have owned the car for a few years and decided to do a 4.9 conversion, a dream I had for a long time. Car has ONLY 51700 original miles on the chassis, engine came from a 30K mile car in immaculate condition that had been rear ended. I bought the engine and transmission, (1994-95 DEVILLE), and after installing it I did not like the gear ratio on the transmission, I wanted to make it faster, and bought another 4T60E with 3.33 gear ratio instead of the stock 2.xx. What a difference it made! The car is way faster, takes off like a rocket, and still cruises at 70MPH just bellow 2000RPM. The car is not an original CJB. Has all the options including Lumbar seats, power mirrors, windows, rare rear defroster, sub-woofer, upgraded Pontiac CD player that matches the interior and lights up red like the rest of the instruments. Original Dot Matrix pattern trim in great condition. It had a little damage on the right quarter panel in 2007, which was repaired without even replacing the part. All the panels are original and the car has never been wrecked. Unlike most other Fieros out there, any year and with any mileage, this car is as perfect as it can be. If you know Fieros, you know the common weak points: 1) Dashboard cracks: Most cars have cracks from sun exposure. This one is perfect as the car has been always garaged and it is an original low mile car. 2) Console plastics separation: All cars suffer from this. However, this car has perfect consoles, no lifting on auxiliary cluster gauges, no lifting of the sides of the rear console, excellent shifter console with NO overlay cheap plastic cap. This may be one of the very few cars in this condition. 3) NO RUST. Yes, fieros rust badly underneath, also in the trunk area and battery tray. Also suspension components rust, and under the hood around the radiator, etc. This one is rust free. 4) T-Tops do not leak. 5) Dew wipes: All fieros suffer from this, and it is expensive or time consuming to fix. This car has brand new replaced dew wipes. 6) Quarter windows / Sail Panels: All Fieros have cracked quarter windows. These are new, with custom ordered GT 4.9 emblems on the original fiero letters/font. This car has the following upgrades: 1) 4.9 conversion low miles engine with everything new at installation. 2) Ceramic coated exhaust manifolds, then header wrap from the top to the end to shield the engine bay from heat. 3) New water pump, starter, a/c compressor, Accel red wires, spark plug heat shields, all new electrical components, sensors, exhaust, etc. 4) Custom made Diamond Plate for the firewall, with insulation behind it to avoid cabin heat transfer. 5) Custom powder coated 4.9 valve covers to match the Fiero original covers, instead of the dull black originals. 6) Car is the original fuel injection. A GM adapter was used to install an Edelbrock 2100 air filter that looks much better than the awkward egg shaped 4.9 caddy setup. 7) Engine oil cooler and second transmission cooler installed for additional cooling on hot weather, a safety measure. 8) High performance battery switch in trunk to disconnect the battery in shows or during long periods of storage, instead of disconnecting the battery. 9) A/C is ice cold. 10) Heater is perfect, new heater core installed, no leaks in system. 11) Perfect headlight motors with Sylvania’s Silverlights instead of the stock lights. 12) Corvette rotors and brackets for the calipers, much larger grab area for braking, keeping the original emergency brake original. Painted rotors and calipers. 13) 18” wheels to clear the upgraded brakes. 14) 245 40 18 great tires on rear, 224 40 18 in front. Tires do not rub the body or suspension. 15) Car lowered with springs from Fiero Store. 16) Tachometer and Speedometer calibrated to V8 engine and upgraded wheel size. 17) Professionally painted earlier this year. 18) Professionally installed racing stripes, custom made fender logos based on the PFF new Fiero Logo. Nose emblem is new from a Pontiac Solstice, has the curvature that allows it to fit the Fiero bumper, and it is the right size for it. 19) Turn signal custom covers of front bumper. 20) Mustang decklid scoop (functional), with opening on the deck lid to allow cold air fed to the Edelbrock air filter, which was lifted close to 2 inches off the engine with an adapter plate. 21) New fuel pump, all new metal fuel lines custom bent and installed for safety. New fuel pressure regulator, new injectors, new distributor, etc. 22) New Corvette Stainless Steel exhaust tips that look just awesome. 23) Tail lights in perfect condition, no delamination / separation. 24) Custom chip programming for additional power. 25) All poly engine and transmission mounts, all new struts and bushings. 26) Rodney Dickman’s decklid strut kit. 27) Lowering spoiler kit, makes the spoiler sit lower and further back. Look at the picture next to my stock white GT for comparison. Looks much better this way. In addition, the car has new window tinting, Fiero emblem inserts on the door panels,. The list goes on and on. No corners were cut, as I planned to keep this car forever, and wanted a perfect low mile show car with all the options, and power to match the looks. By the way, fuel economy is great, similar or even better than the V6’s, as the car literally almost idles at highway speeds. The weight is very similar to the V6. The reason I am selling: I have other Fieros, and recently found another one that always was my dream to own.
