1984 Mercedes Benz 190D Diesel. Mechcanics/bodymans Special. 139000 actual miles. Clean history report indicates correct miles and no accidents. Mechanics/Bodymans Special. For the guy who enjoys working on cars as a hobby and has the tools, facilities, and skills to finish. Needs fan clutch replaced. Engine fan is freewheeling and not cooling the engine. (I have part) Transmission shifts need adjusting. (Jack up car, turn knob on left side of tranny clockwise for softer shifts, counter-clockwise to reduce long shifts. Testdrive and repeat until shifting is satisfactory) Sunroof and radio not working. Brakes good and firm and stops straight. Engine starts immeadiatly after the first glow plug cycle. Engine purrs excellent. All lights and signals work. Instumentation works. Has BRAND NEW set of 80,000 mile Michilens that reluctantly are going with car. (approx 15 miles of use) Has rust as shown in pictures. I paid extra in this listing to get the large photos so you could see whats there. Pictures with no bondo show condition of vehicle before bondo work started. Photos with bondo show stalled project. Reason for selling: I live in Michigan, I have been commuting to Wisconsin to my new job since January. I stay over there 12-20 days per month. When I get back I have been concentrating on household chores, maintenance, and repairs. The Fall and good wheather are close to being over with. I've realisticlly decided to pass this waiting oppertunity to the next guy whose schedule and work circumstances are better suited to finishing this car.
